Anyone used Windows 10 yet? Do you like it, not sure yet? I have Win 8.1 at the moment and due for an update and always hate "the new thing that comes out" Should I stay with Win 8.1 or upgrade? Any input would be great. Thanks.....

I haven't messed with the RTM version, played a little on the beta. I'm planning on building a new system just for testing Win 10 for work when the retail version drops end of July. Need to get ducks in a row, so to speak, for locking the system down and making sure old software works. all that fun stuff.

I'm still rocking Win 7 Ultimate at home. Depending if the tweaks they made really work as advertised I will migrate my work and home systems and use them a while to make dam sure it plays nice with stuff before I start migrating the rest systems of my work.

Like everything new like that it will have bugs to be worked out, I think I'll pass on it for now. Still interested in others opinions also.

I have been running windows 10 beta for several weeks now - at present at build 10130. I find it very stable and a big improvement on windows 7. Every now and again it updates itself but each build seems to improve. I am using it now . :)

I've played with windows 10 a bit and the only difference i find from windows 8 is that out f the box Windows 10 gives you the ability to boot straight to the desktop again. Other than that i find it's just the same as windows 8 which i hate. So my opinion is if you're still using windows 7... stay with it for as long as possible. That's what i'll be doing.

Just dump windows their UAT is never see enough and move to Linux or OSx. Self build linux would be superb.

I have a part share - sleeping partner - in a computer fix design build company.

Yeah, I like the booting up to the desktop, I hate win 8 startup, very confusing. I have mine set up like the older ones that start up to the desktop, start menu 8 I think is the name.

I can't spend any money on anything fancy. I've still got two other computers that are XP, I have to run them until they crash or just no longer work.

XP is perhaps M/S best O/S. Better than the one size fits for all device types. They are not Apple but they are trying to be. All technology I have is Apple. Home, office, mobiles, tablets ... Apple :)

I love XP, never ever had any problems with it running, I just can't give it up. Sometimes the new win 8.1 is being a pain in the butt I fire up the 11 year old XP and do my thing. It's getting Very slow now that it doesn't update anymore.

I still have an adequate XP system which I use as I've software which will only run on that and won't pay for the updated version as I don't need it

in windows 10 you have the option to run older software in a comatable way. just select compatability mode on a particular program and it will try to offer a solution. dont forget the upgrade is free. :)

Sounds like it's pretty good then if you can run older software.
