But someone who's not a family member of yours, or a SO.
When I lost my job several years ago. Someone sent me a cashiers check for $1000. My wife was not and had not been working. I still do not know who it was.
Wow, that's really kind. And the fact the person didn't even tell you makes it a fantastic gesture.
It came quick so it must have been someone pretty close but I have no idea who. I know it was not a family member.
I was in the LA terminal sitting and waiting for a puddle jumper down to San Diego, and thought I heard my name called over the intercom so I approached the gate desk and asked if they had called my name, a homeland security guard approached me and ask me what my Birthday was and then I reached down and noticed my wallet was gone. I smiled at the officer and told her my BD and she handed me my wallet, I had dropped it at a restaurant in the terminal and some good soul had turned it in. All my cc cards in tact and the huge wad of cash was still in there. There are still some honest people in the world.
That was good! I'm happy for you. It has happened to a friend of mine. He lost his wallet in the bus, with cash and all. Got everything back. People are more honest then we think.
Sweet! And I have the same phobia!
Gave me a job when I was out of work. It gave me new skills in my profession and has led to a new career path. When one door closed he opened the new one.
Im trying to get my disability and a friend gave me $200 so I could get my daughter some things for Christmas.
Last year same scenario a bunch of friends brought us lots of food so we would be able to have Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner.
on vacation and lost my purse, had over 900 dollars in it, some young kids called me up and told me they found it, I went to get it and they refused to take any kind of reward from me,
thought it was really nice in today's world
On Tuesday, I got a gorgeous bunch of flowers delivered to my home. They were from my girlfriend (non sexual) and were 'just because'. I'd had a really shitty day on Monday and she sent them to brighten my day. It was such a beautiful surprise.
One of my girlfriend can over to my house almost every day after my surgery. I was very down and the company was just want I needed she brought me a soda and just chatted.
Once I was feeling like leaving the house. She took me shopping, and to the movies, for breakfasts and lunches lol!
I am not sure how I would have survived those months without her.
It happened to me. I was asked my date of birth. And how many condoms i had in my Wallet
