My gf likes to be very safe, but she wants to do it without a condom. Shes been on the pill for well over a year, and she was thinking we could not use a condom 10 days before her period starts. Is she right? Is that the safest time to not use one?

    Thanks for the help.

If she is on the pill and takes it at the same time everyday and doesn't miss any days, she shouldn't have a single problem at any time. The pill is 98% effective if taken daily and 95% effective if you miss a day.

I've been on the pill for three years any there are days that I forget to take it, and I have not gotten pregnant yet.

Condoms are less reliable than the pill.

however other medications (especially antibiotics) do affect the pill so if she's taking anything else you should look into that
