Let me introduce you to a REAL race car:
LOL I'm just givin' ya'll hell.
It's a dangerous sport, but I know alot of people who saw that race... Fairly painless way to go though
To clarify ... the car is actually not an Indy car, it's the Audi R8 Le Mans racer.
Hell thats not even a car,
I wanna se em STOCK
You do realize the the R8 engine is built off of the S8 engine right? I take it you know very little about Le Mans. The idea is that the body and frame can be changed to compesate for aerodynamics, but the engine and drivetrain have to remain relatively based on production car variants. The gearing is taller and the engines are supertuned.
I can't wait will Toyota gets into Nascar ... I pray to god they aren't using a Carbed V8 ... those things were great back in the 60s and 70s but forced induction is the way for the future.
Pushrods and Carburetors only. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 800 hp after the engine shop boys set them up.
I see american motorsports still clings to stone age technology .... *shakes head*
They don't make changes quick that's for sure. But the fan base is growing faster than most major (if not all) sports. So they must be doing something right. I imagine the cost to switch to injection fuel systems, DOHC engines, etc. would drive a few owners out of business.
The Camry model is the one that will run the CUP races next year.
ya' know - You're a Virginia boy - - you better be careful how you refer to NASCAR 'round these parts. You DO want to see your "20's", right?
But Rose, I'm so adorable no one could hurt me ... *puppy face* ... I'd gladly put a fuel injected, single turbo Supra or Skyline up against the Nascar cars... It would be awfull embarassing to get your ass handed to you by a Rice rocket that has 400 more horsies and a hell of a lot less literage. (Record to my knowledge is a Blitz tuned Skyline running around 1275hp ... YUM!)
*shrugs* I hate how they have to detune the cars ... this is a frickin' competition, so let it be a competition.
Well, I dunno - I've never had my ass handed to me.. by a "Rice rocket"? - Is that some new kind of vibrator? - for the butt, maybe? Sounds delightful!
But the competition as far as cars goes has guidelines to make it completive. Just like in horse racing you have to ride similar horse types, ages, sizes, etc. The NASCAR drivers have to race cars that are built similar to the other 42 cars on the track. I have nothing against any other form of auto racing. NASCAR just happens to be what I grew up with and I love it.
I know, I know, I'm just givin' ya'll hell
You two kick too much ass around here for me to piss you off.
And NO Rose it's not a vibrator ...
well... DAMN! - that's all I gotta say...
let's go over to the Hide-Away, and git drunk.
That kooks like one of them ugly, ugly Toyotas. I call em Toy-Todas
they will probally put a chevy engine in so it can keep up.
I see the ignorance prevails ... :mad
As long as you're not hitting too hard ... I'm totally cool with it
Get in the line A-1. :yell I get the first spanking from her. I've been trying for a month now. :uhh:
If Toyota does as good with the race cars as they do with the truck races in NASCAR they will hold their own against Ford, Chevy, & Dodge.
