important question about yeast infections

    ok. ive had a couple of yeast infections and i was wondering. if i wear the same underwear as i did when i had my yeast infection(they're washed ofcourse) can i get another one from my underwear even if i washed them?

    It's doubtful that you would get another one from those panties, but I have heard that some materials can prevent your body from "breathing". I was always told to wear cotton panties & not the nylon ones. Apparently the nylon holds the moisture more & keeps your body warmer...and it could aide in a yeast infection. I don't believe that the underwear causes the infection, it just can make it worse if you wear those kinds of panties.

    ok this thread is kind of old... but i was looking for one and stumbled across it...

    you actually can. some experts say after washing you should iron or microwave underwear you wore when you had a yeast infection...careful with the microwave, some elastics melt (not personal experience)
