I was just wondering if anyone has tried flavored gels? One of my friends told me that she used it and her husband got a UTI from it.

Does anyone know if there is any that won't cause UTI's?

    Thanks!

Any foreign substance could cause a local irritation which would break down the immune resistance of the affected area, thereby making it susceptible to bacteria, fungus, or a virus which would not otherwise have manifested. On the other hand, the gel could have been contaminated prior to application.

I have used flavored jell (cherry) and never had a problem
and from the statement above I would think that any jell going into the urinary tract would be washed away the first time you pee.
