    They also sell that here in BIG Y supermarkets in the specialty section. My 15 yr old pointed it out...along with "cock soup"

    It's a really greasey pudding, the spots are raisens. I don't know how it got its name but it used to be really popular in the uk you have it covered in custard. Anywho I don't think really know what the thinking was behind the name. I think plum duff is another name for it.

    :lol Yeah, I'd heard of that before. A lot of English dishes have some pretty crazy names:

    Spotted Dick
    Bubble & Squeak
    Bangers & Mash
    Toad in the Hole

    Just to name a few...

    Here in Sweden we have gravlax (buried salmon).
    We also have a brand of catfood called "Pussi"
