Bored working night shift

    Hi there anyone work nights and what do you do to help stay awake. I'm working nights and struggle to keep awake on them and sleep when I finish. How do you stay awake on them.

    Get in touch help keep me awake. Work in a factory and got to keep an eye on machines so need help staying awake because if boss catches me asleep its not good

    Motörhead .....lots and lots of live Motörhead ......as loud as it will go. Got me thru many allnighters....lol

    Get enough sleep, eat a decent meal before you go (get some energy in your body!), keep active. Nightshifts are pretty tough if you dont have a good structured scedule surounding it. Really depends on what kind of work you do, if your sitting mostly inside somewhere I can see why your having a problem. I quite enjoy working at night if I can be outside and move around some, the fresh air and activity really helps.

    Just beat off.....it's better than melatonin ....:D

    I'm a night owl and don't sleep much in general so I have no problem. Wife works 3rd shift in the ER. She drinks the largest cup of black coffee with nothing in it, and will either consume a 5 hour energy at some point or more coffee, and she finds chewing gums also helps.
