Never has one user made so many blogs that contributed quite so little. I salute you, sir.
I find the first one particularly offensive.
For those of you that wish to give me an English lesson ... Don't bother. I have been there.
I am concerned that the poster's choice of words are those favored by racists and/or misygonists. I do not believe the poster can be categorized as such. Yet if the attempt was to initiate thought or even conversation....wouldn't "Hello. How are you?" have been just as good?
This is an open forum and the poster is free to post what he wishes. As do I.
so you're saying that these words have no influence on social constructs or merit concerning our society's make up? That's pure bullox. Please do expand your depth. Even walking down the street and watching peoples responses, if one can read them, provides a view on how we act as a society. Obviously there will be variances which alter where you are or particular people. But we don't usually group people together like that. The south is this way... the north east is this way, etc.
You'll be better off not presuming that the lack of "intellectual content," is actually the lack of content. Of course, then again, I don't know if that was your presumption. That's just my inference.
It's about offensive words. We constantly shroud ourselves in this idea that these words shouldn't be used or plum don't exist. Why? It's completely and utterly preposterous. Racism isn't going any where. Classism isn't any where. Sexism... nope. why not discuss it openly? I'm a very crass person. I use these words regularly. My friends know this. i don't understand the reliability to words and offense. "Ugly" used to offend me, but never these. Each individual controls the amount of malice is associated with each word. Why not make it low? Why be offender? It's human conditioning that we allow society to feed our control over it. If I call a woman a cunt- what's the big deal? It's rude? Societys definition or yours? Both? This topic is usually a hot one for me. If you REALLY want to allow your feelings to be dictated via verbiage... I think you need a stronger sense of self. We're, being the 'good people' in society, are always talking about having a positive self image despite what people may say. Sure. Do it. Why not do the same with this facet? It make no sense to me. Perhaps my views are flawed, but being a part of a group as large as ours... why not just not give a fuck? I do understand that I am one person. Those words can be very deep seeded in traumatic experiences. I get it. One of the greatest triumphs is not allowing things of that nature to control ones life unless if it does so in a positive way. I'm no professional, but I do know a wee bit about this. I won't pretend to understand all of the intricacies of the human brain either physiologically or mentally. Even our greatest doctors/professionals can't do, not pretend but actually understand, that.
But we're beings. We accomplish so much. Get over whatever it is. Unkind? Uncaring? Maybe. But even if it's just the way that we're conditioned just stop. Save your time for compliments, or just negate those too.
So the point of this was....?
what I posted.
I stated my opinion sir. No where in my post did I say the words should not be used.
I have the right to my opinion. I have the right to be offended by those words. My right.
As far as you saying why not just not give a fuck? I do not have that luxury. When that first word was spray painted on my property I suppose I could have not just given a fuck. But I did and I do.
Why the hell do I need to get over anything? You have no idea what me and mine have gone through.
And you are right. You do know a wee bit about it.
As did I. But why re-hash? That's superfluous.
You have the right to your opinion? Who knew??? Oh myyyy...
Yawning is normal. Are you simple? Or just in need of oxygen? I hope it's the prior. If you need oxygen with such a plentiful amount... Idk...
I understand exactly what you are trying to say... These words are only offensive because we perceive them to be offensive.. Words only mean what we "allow" them to.
