I've used YIM in the past but now I use IRC or MSN Messager, not because I think it's superior, but because that's what everyone seems to use.

All my Instant Messenger info is in my profile. But that is for business related issues only. If you want to chat with me about some personal use :sf. :)

I use Trillian Pro 3.0 for my business IM's and AIM 4.7 for my personal.

I use AIM because that is what all the people I talk to use...had no need to use others.

I barely use any instant messenger services any more. When I chat with friends over the internet it's usually with Team Speak and a microphone.

I suggested he change it to the one it is now. The other one reminded me too much of my mom's second husband, of whom I don't have a lot of fond memories. The picture in his current avvie is of Janeane Garafalo I think.

I use both. Both have there up sides and down sides. I like yahoo for the offline messages. I could left a massage and they get back to me when they have the chance. but i mainly use Aim. with Aim u don,t have to wait to be added, u can chat when ever. With me being on my cell most of the time. I use Aim more. Just Easier to use.

Nobody uses ICQ anymore? That was my mainstay years ago, but I don't have any instant message software installed now. I think my wife uses AIM most of the time, somewhat reluctantly.

I used to be a fan of icq, but then aol bought it and then they ruined it imo :(
Ever since then, eveyrone started moving twords aim that I know, so I made the switch too. I can't say I really enjoy aim, but everyone uses so it so your kinda forced to.

For my business, it's easier for me to have every common way of contact listed.
