From what I've read some punishments can be taken to extremes. Why punish at all when it's all supposed to be fun? I like being tied up and blindfolded because then I feel like I'm more under someone's control. But I still have the power to refuse to do something. I guess that's why they have safe words. Some of the things I've read though seem to border on torture. But maybe it all depends on your perspective and how much pain/humiliation you can take. Just some thoughts. What are your thoughts on this topic.

If you hurt yourself and tell a therapist about it, you're going to get a clinical diagnosis; it's considered atypical behavior. If someone else hurts you at your behest, in a sexual context, it's allegedly "normal". Does that make any sense to you? It sure as hell doesn't to me. I do worry about those who are into hardcore BDSM. I don't think it's healthy.

I don't think it's healthy either. There has to be a line drawn.
