It seems that private shots for personal use, might be a different class of law or less intense law enforcement. It is probably a gray area of the law, but a public proscutor could tell you hte law for free, or you can visit a local law library, or seek advice from a lawyer. You can ask that the film be developed, without prints, and I believe a copy of the roll of developed film, can be copied.

Once you have a back-up film, you can then ask some photo shop owners what the restrictions might be. Alternatively, if there is one guy operating the machine for an 8 hour shift, you can just ask the machine operator if he has a problem running the photos on his shift.

Once the film roll is run throught the print machine, the machine cuts the rol up into strips. Once the film is is in strips, the machine must do the prints as re-prints, which is more expensive.

Why don't you keep it simple - go to a photo lab and ask them directly? Well, they're going to see you naked anyways...right? So might as well let them know what to expect in advance - they'll either say yes or no.
I might be very wrong and naive here (since I am going to base my response upon a clip from a Hollywood movie) but in 'One Hour Photo' Robbin Williams plays the role of the photo developer and develops amateur pornography pics as well (and this was set in a local supermarket).
    Hope that helps.

There are some internet sites that do it, but other wise it's illegal to have them developed at retail places (Walmart, walgreens & etc).
