I had one hell of a night last night (and not in the good way) so sleep was nearly impossible to catch.

I'm laying down about half an hour ago to sleep a bit during the day and I'm woken up by the loudest rolling thunder I've heard in ages. You would think the Florida summer storms were back, but it's winter!

The weather map is solid orange over where I live, so it looks like this wicked storm is here to stay.

What about everyone else? How's the weather where you are?

A chilly 32 degrees in central Texas. 2 days ago it was 70! No wonder everyone is gettin sick.

Oh, congrats on wedding by the way! You made a beautiful bride. Your husband is very lucky.

The Wx that you saw this a.m. came thru my area around 11. Not much for around here. Just one clap of thunder and hours of moderate rain.
Actually looking forward some big boomers.. Love weather !

Beach, you can have all of my weather! lol.
It was nasty and horrible. Plus I don't like Ian being on the roads when it's like that. He has to take the 429/turnpike home and drivers are stupid when that road is wet.
    :(

Yeah driving on interstate roads suck in bad weather..( can't stand ppl that slow to a crawl and turn on their hazards in the rain)
I thought you were relaxing tho ? best time to chill is on a rainy wet day.

I am relaxing, but it's hard to do so when the rain is causing the windows to vibrate every 2 minutes lol. It's calmed down now to just an annoying cold drizzle. My man is stopping by my moms house to get gumbo. ^_^ She made extra for us since we're both sick lol

Well in NC it has snowed about five inches and is below freezing, unheard of that we have had this much snow twice in the last few weeks

Last night we got 4" of snow. It was nice this morning, but it sleeted a half inch and has been raining lightly all day and tonight. The temperature never rose above 32, so I'm waiting for limbs to start busting power lines. It has blinked twice so far. Supposed to be 24 tonight and 34 for the high tomorrow. We got 3 inches at Christmas, but it all melted pretty quickly.

Ours is so crusted over it's more like a skating rink. Good for sledding I suppose. Not much else. Still raining and 28.

It's around 0 here now. Supposed to get to -7 tonight. We had 8 1/2" of snow Saturday night and Sunday. There's record snow in the Rockies just a few miles west of here. Something like 8 feet. The skiers are ecstatic. It'll be in the 50's here later in the week and all the snow will melt. Temps in the 50's feel much warmer at this altitude because the air is less dense. It's pretty chilly out there right now though.

    That's bad.
South Carolina has a Sister State pact with Queensland. We trade a lot of interesting things back and forth. The koalas at our local Riverbanks Zoo were given to us by Queensland. They've been successfully bred too. I was lucky enough to see them while they were active once. I think that happens about one hour of the day.

A trip to Australia is on my Bucket List. A friend just returned from down there. He plays Rugby and they have tournaments down there quite often. I figure the best time to go would be Spring or Fall. Hope the devestation doesn't get any worse.
