Took two 16 oz sirloin steaks, cut various openings in then, crushed 4 garlic cloves, and placed the pieces in the bottom and top holes of each steak. Then I tenderized them, peppered both sides, spritzed it with some lemon, and set them both to marinade in a jerk marinade.

This will be accompanied by a medley of veggies, mashed taters, and mac and cheese (home made).

I was about to ask what sort of drinks; but then I remembered that I'm not picky so long as it isn't tequila. Come on over. 16 oz/ per person is a lot anyways.

    The MIL?

Meatloaf is delicious. I've loved it since a child. Especially with mashed taters.

Hot dogs on the grill on a 37 degree evening loaded with sour kraut, relish, spicy brown mustard, caramelized onions, and ketchup with a side of sweet potato fries.

Had chicken rice pilaf with shrimp in butter and paprika. Then ended up having toast and strawberry jelly afterwards to settle my stomach. Shrimp was apparently not a good idea.

I seasoned (minced garlic, onion powder, black pepper, salt) the chicken then simmered it on a frying pan to get it light brown on the top and bot of the chicken. Layered the 1st coating with BBQ sauce and popped it the oven for about 15min, take it out and added a coating of jerk sauce (I like the rub more but I didn't have any) baked for another 25 minutes at 475.
