Just wanted to see if anyone is from the Western Slope area of Colorado. I will be traveling to Montrose, Colorado next week for work and wouldn't mind getting together for a few drinks.
Or if anyone is familiar with the area and has any recommendations on things to do there, let me know!

Montrose is kind of a small town. One nice restaurant on Highway 50 coming in to town. I cant remember the name, but it's on the north side, east of Townsend Ave, the main drag north and south. Some of the most beautiful scenery anywhere if you drive south about 40 miles to Ouray, the Switzerland of the United States. Also the True Grit Café in Ridgeway, on the way to Ouray, is a cool little place. The Black Canyon of the Gunnison is just east on Highway 50. Not much night life, just a growing little town near some really spectacular Rocky Mountain scenery..
