We lost a Legend, He deserved his own thread. I had read his health had went south he had been on the road still performing up until recently. Met this man a night club in Owensboro KY he was playing at years ago.

I don't want to like your post because it makes me sad as you say we did lose a legend.

    RIP BB

And he was touring quite literally up to the day he died... that's some dedication right there.

A sad sad day. The ambassador of the blues is gone. Every time I heard that man speak, he was a class act. an amazing man is gone.... And now I'm gonna spend my day listening to what he left us with...

As a musician myself his music has inspired a lot of the music we love to hear and play. God has a cool party going on with SRV and the Kings BB and Albert and Paul all together once again. ::cool:

Sweet.... An endless stream of creativity, the most heavenly vibrato ever heard..... And amazingly powerful note bending... All on stage with some pretty tasty harp....four guys that all left their mark....

As Jimmie Vaughn wrote and sang, "Another Blues Singer Gone Home." B.B. was the definition of a class act. He had his own style within the confines of the Blues genre. You could pick out his guitar playing over anyone's. His tone was unique. His smile was contagious. I don't think the world is as nice a place now that he's gone. R.I.P. Riley King.

Yeah it's sad, but the man lived 89 years doing what he loved. Not many people can say that, let alone a black man born in Mississippi in 1925. B.B. spread joy all over the world. It was always a joy to watch him play and listen to Lucille through an old Fender Twin Reverb. He inspired many, many players and brought joy to those who listened. It's a gross understatement to say he was a Blues Icon. I remember when there were three Kings, Freddie, Albert, and B.B. Now they are all gone. Please don't be sad. B.B. was about bring joy to all of us. Everyone loved this man. Just remember how he made us smile. I just know that's what B.B. would want.

Another great conglomeration of legends getting together. Classic as it gets. :) Check out that Etta James and Dr. John performance at the 22 minutes.
