I was talking online to a guy friend today.
We were talking dirty of course, but I wasn't touching myself, I felt like typing lol, I showed him some pictures of me and what he was saying caused my ribs to get heat up and I couldn't breathe. I've never experienced that before ever... but he says it was an orgasm? Was it? And why in my ribs?

As a general rule, if you have to ask 'is it an orgasm?', then it probably wasn't.

I haven't had orgasm like that. During mine I feel the need to poke out my tongue, my whole body becomes tense, my nipples become firm and vagina wet and then an overwhelming release with pulsation in my abdomen.

I don't think that was an orgasm, but definetly something. I don't know but I look forward to seeing what people say in answer.

I feel something like that a little bit before I cum during sex, or just before the urge to masturbate (during visual stimulation). The feeling was probably your body telling you to step up the pace so you can cum.

That actually makes sense given the situation
