anyone Vegan here? I've been vegan for the last 3 months, no regrets, LOVE IT. I was a HUGE meat eater, lots of sausages, etc (I was not eating bad, usually lean meats, not fried etc) but too much meat. I saw a few interesting documentaries (What The Health, Earthlings etc) and it just reprogrammed my brain. What's your story? Also post your vegan food pics, they are delicious.
I am a vegan have been for a couple of year. I made a switch after watching some documentaries too. I wasn’t a big meat eater to begin with, and I never liked milk. I am very happy, I love the way food tastes now, I have more energy, have lost some weight.
I'm vegan also. Made the switch for my husband's health since he was entirely too close to a heart attack. I enjoy making dishes that I loved to eat as a non vegan into vegan dishes. They taste better than the original usually. Been struggling lately due to being sick constantly and not wanting to cook but I should be back on track in a few weeks. Recently tried the beyond burger and it was amazing. Expensive though. I'll post some pics later of what I have made before.
Fantastic. Nice to hear I’m not alone Herr’s a 100% vegan pizza I made the other night for me and the wife. Food indeed tastes better after going vegan. Something about your taste buds change.
Well since cows contribute to most of the greenhouse gasses I'm on a mission to eat as many of them as I can to save our planet. Somebody has to do it for Christ sakes!
Actually eating them contributes to the industry making more which increases the gas and is bad for the planet over all. It's the top cause of climate change though you won't dare hear it from any news industry or the food industry for that matter. They make way too much money off of it.
It's hollandaise sauce that I make. It's vegan "chicken" bouillion broth, almond milk, pepper, garlic powder, turmeric, onion powder, earth balance and garbanzo bean flour. That picture is tofu benedict with smoked flavored tofurky slices.
Earth balance is a margarine made with pea protein and soy among other things. There's no dairy in it but there are other vegan butter options as well. Garbanzo bean flour is made from garbanzo beans also called chickpeas. It's higher in protein than regular flour and has a taste to it. It thickens up better as well. I use it in all of my sauces unless I run out. I use Bob's red mill brand.
I just made gravy and fries. Didn't take a picture though. Will be making chocolate chip pancakes in the morning.
