Veterans and former prisoners of war will be joined later by the Royal Family at events commemorating the 70th anniversary of VJ Day. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will attend a service at the St Martin-in-the-Fields Church in Trafalgar Square. The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will attend a drumhead service and wreath-laying ceremony on Horse Guards Parade that will start with an RAF flypast. The service will include veterans, their families, and current members of the Armed Forces. There will then be a parade that will pass through Whitehall and Parliament Square before reaching Westminster Abbey, where a special reception is to be hosted by the Royal British Legion.
