Be yourself. It's easy
Case studies involving this site have shown that it's also pretty damn easy to be multiple people.
So I guess I'd add to that tip: If you're going to be somebody else, at least show some originality and do it with a sense of flair. In other words, if you're not going to be yourself, be someone like Chet.
It's sometimes obvious isn't it? Makes you wonder about people's sanity and motives. I think we all knew who Chet really was. He'd never admit to it however.
Three tips just on this page about being yourself! I will take it a step further and say...
Happiness is a choice. Life isn't about pleasing everyone.
Has nobody who gives the advice "Be Yourself" so freely ever considered that maybe the advice recipient's self might not be the best choice until they make some changes?
Like, "Hey there, Mr. Meth-Head, I know who you are is an ill person with a crippling addiction that is destroying the life of you and many of those around you - but you do you, man. Be yourself!"
I always wish people would share their knowledge when they hint around like that!
I plead the 5th
NO! You're not allowed! SF is governed by different laws...or something....
I thought Chet was a Dayplay project simply because he portrayed the class clown and it seemed like something Andy Kaufmann-esque that he'd attempt. I'm not sure if that makes me part of "we" but that was my guess. Then again, it just seemed a little too out-there for it to be him. I thought about asking him straight up, but never did.
The Chet routine was definitely original but it got tedious at times. He kind of pissed me off early on by saying Roberto Clemente or Willie Stargell was a drug dealer or something, and I'm a Pirates fan who once had Willie Stargell's autograph when they used to do spring training in Bradenton, Fla.
LOL I don't see a connection between @DayPlay3 and chet, but since I didn't get 99% of his references, I'll trust your instinct!
So wrong... but it meets the thread's description. Sorry....bad me
Ignorant arrogance does not qualify as an opinion.
