Yes, it's mine. My dad bought it new and I inherited it in 1973.
It's a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, Engine is a 396, Transmission is a Muncie M-22 Rock Crusher 4 speed with an old Hurst Competition plus shifter, 411 positrac differential.

0-60 in about 4 sec. The best quarter mile I ever ran was 12.12, but that car refuses to stick the rear tires. I could stiffen up the coil springs to fix that, but I want it to be drivable on the road too. Plus I only have 12 inch slicks.

If I went up to 16" slicks, I'm afraid my rear gear would blow up. It's never been reworked since it sat on the showroom floor. There's not much on the road of that vintage, wearing a license plate, that'll disappear that quick. I love to mess with Vettes; if I can stick it, it'll dust a ZO6... if I can stick it. I don't use slicks on the road.
There are some fast rice rockets today though. Gotta watch out, or get embarrassed.

Bet its a nice ride for sure but Id be too paranoid to drive it around in case some fool ran into it.:eek
If its a genuine vehicle, matching numbers, with not ridiculous miles on it, then its worth a pretty decent dollar.
Quality US muscle cars have gone through roof, price wise, in the last few years.:bow

It has 95,000 miles on it. Only been wrecked once, but not totaled. Original engine, but I took out the Turbo 400 and put the Rock Crusher in it.

One of the worst things about having an expensive or rare type of car is that not everybody can respect or appreciate it and one thing that really sends me off are people that sit or lean on my panels....:yell
    True story...
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Remember years ago,a mate, myself and our girls came back to our cars after a movie in the city.
We walk up and theres this dude sitting on the front fender of Peter's immaculate black Corvette, its George Street, Saturday night, theres people everywhere and Pete walks up to this guy and king hits him right between the eyes, instant night..night...
Now that would have been ok if it had ended there, but his mates got involved, then I got involved, their girls got involved so our girls got dragged into it as well so then theres about 7 or so people brawling on the footpath and people were just walking by like it was a regular thing.??...couple of em' actually started cheering for the girls.....can you believe it!!!
Ok, so we all got rounded up by the cops and down to the station to "sort it all out", well, all except the guy Pete smacked who got taken to the hospital with concussion.
They actually wanted to go Peter for assault but his legal guy got him off.
But what really pissed me off was that I'd been hanging out for months to go out with this girl, she was just gorgeous, first date!!!:brow
    and what happens.......
She gets into a brawl, cops a black eye and some scratches, ruins $200 dress, gets hauled down to the police station in a paddy wagon, and then Ive got to take her home to her Christian parents at 2.30am (we were going to be home by midnight), Couldnt work out why I never saw her again :eek:utahere
All because some pr--k decided to sit on someone elses car!!!:mad
