My brother is a blacksmith and this is a lamp he made for our mother for Christmas. Keep in mind that he handcrafted everything you see except the lampshade.

It even has an antique looking twisted power cord.

He is also an electrician so, he made that as well.

He is quite the craftsman. too bad most folks can't afford his pieces and he can't sell enough to do more than barely scrape by.

Thanks, R, you are too kind. :)

He has other pieces for sale that I want to get some pics of for him. He hasn't a clue about marketing his stuff, thus, his impoverished state.

With all of the Christmas hussle I forgot to ask him how many hours he had into it.

I am having my brother and his wife over for dinner in a coupla weeks, I am going to ask him what he's done as far as promotional work. I would like to help him if I could, at least take the pics for his pieces.

I wish I could have gotten a clearer picture of the inside of the rose; the gold part is cut with a tool that made a pattern on them so they are even more realistic in person.

He says he's looked into doing some of the upscale craft fairs in the area next year but, the problem is, he can't make a lot in advance due to the cost of the materials.

Good to see you as well, Hottie. Did ya miss me? *hugs*

can always do samples & take LOTS of pics and make a "showcase" of samples.. 8 x 10 pics and laminate them and put them in a binder

maybe take custom orders with 50% down up front to cover the costs?

That is really cool. My dad put shoes on horses for a while and he let me use the forge some. Having done that I can really appreciate the workmanship of it.

I found out that his web site is up and running and checked it out. You need to click on the individual pictures to open up each area to see other pics of his stuff.

(I won't post the website link here, just Google "Mosher Unlimited".)

I was really impressed with his work as shown, that's for sure. I haven't been close with my brother for years and didn't have a clue at how creative he is. When the weather gets warmer, I hope to go to his shop and see him at his art.

PS: I asked him and he said it took him 60-70 hours to make the rose lamp.
