Did anyone see that show last night about how pornography has become so mainstream? I want to find on what network it was on so I can have my wife watch it if it's on again.

What's your goal in the wife watching it? Just curious.

I am so over porn, and my wife has never been into it in the first place. Actually what does it to my wife visually is good erotic movies, not the 'couples porn' stuff or playboy things, but really good mainstream movies with an erotic bent. A recent one that turned her on was 'The Lover' (L'amant) from the early '90s (a French film with English dialogue), we had a great time after watching it. There are lots of mainstream sexy movies, particularly good French films (speaking French helps, but subtitling is usually close enough if you can't follow the language).

Another one that surprised me, and not surprised me, was written erotica. I am a pubished author, and I am working on an erotic novel for a change. There are two relationships, and two different style of erotic scenes. One relationship is very carnal, and the sex is very steamy and adventurous. The second relationship is soulmate-style, and the sex is very connected and loving. I read two of the soulmate / connected / loving scenes to her to get her reaction from a literary sense, but what I got was a more carnal reaction! They are quite short scenes, but brother!

I know of couples who print good erotic stories and read them in bed prior to, you know. But the emphasis is on good erotica, and the style of written erotica that appeals to many women is quite different to that which appeals to most men.

Well, I've tried to find past television listings online. No luck. Doesn't anyone have last week's TVGuide? Or the January 5 newspaper? One of those should help.

See? I can be helpful, even to the crabby people.

I guess I thought if you shared with us what you hoped your wife watching a show on pornography would accomplish, we could share other ideas. Sorry to have "wasted" your time (or mine, at this point).

I didn't realize some folks would take my comment as if I were trying to be insulting or are so thin skinned, I just was hoping to get a answer to the name of a TV show. That's all. No big deal if no one knows the name of the show.

    All the best,
    Joe
