As seen by the poll it's a simple question:

For you are tattoos, piercings, and/or other body modifications*...

    • "Ooohhh, hot!"
    • "Eeewww, not!"
    • "Meh, whatever."
    • "Depends..."
    • "This is a dumb question. Shut up, 10_3XL!"
I must say that generally I find tattoos and piercings to be attractive, but there are times (and styles) that are just... just not. And body modifications generally are an instant "Nope."

*If you're wondering "body modification" generally refers to things like dermal implants, scarification, branding, &c

I have tattoos, piercings and what one would consider a body-mod of sorts (depending on how you look at it). I don't expect them to be a turn on or off for anyone since I have them for myself. I personally don't find them on others to be a turn on or off either. I more so enjoy seeing them on others. They make for great conversation or a lovely artistic piece on an already lovely body.

    One earring, ok.
Some tats, depending on them - on. I don't like faces - the freak me out. Covered on tats, not my thing
Body mods - seems painful and not something I am attracted to.

    But, to each his/her own.
It's not my thing and it's not my place to judge.

I like tasteful tats but again what is tasteful to one may not be to another, don't like piercings or modifications but that said you could argue that a tat is a (visual) modification..

So people have been voting, but not many actually taking the time to respond.

    The "turn-off" answers are leading.

C'mon, people, explain your vote where we can see it. OWN YOUR RESPONSES DAMMIT! :p

I use mine as a distraction - not so much lovely art on lovely body; rather lovely art on decidedly not-lovely body. They do definitely make for some great conversation, though. :p
PS - what is your "body mod of sorts?" Inquiring minds want to know! :D

I must confess to voting without comment. I have thought long and hard on this subject before so doing and Although I have no strong views on body art which can look quite beautiful on some people the main drawbac is that they are permenant and on an old person can look far less atractive. I am certainly not put off by such things and the decision to use body art is solely for the person concerned and that decsion is to be respected.

Some tattoos are well thought out, and have a personal meaning. Many piercings are simple and not offensive in any way. But, full covered color tats, big rings in ears, noses, "other places"... no. thanks. But, again, to each their own.

I love tattoos and have several myself, I think they can be very sexy.
I don't think mine are at all sexy, a couple have meaning to me. They were done for myself.
    I find people tattoo's fascinating.

I am generally not in favour because of the permanency and ageing issues but that said some artistic colourful tats I do find fascinating and even sexy. There are some wonderful examples of attrative bodies adorned as such on some related threads here.
As for metallic hardware, nah I don't like them much but have seen too many examples of resulting infections to be even at least impressed by them.
I voted depends on the individual.

For me, it entirely depends on who the other person is. Certain men I find sexy with tattoos, yet sometimes I find them tasteless. Same with piercings. But, to each their own.

I have my nipples pierced and have gotten mostly very happy reactions, lol. There have been a few men who didn't seem to care for them, but it also wasn't enough for them to stay away? *shrugs* They're for me, anyway.

I LOVE tattoos as long as they aren't sucky ones. Piercings can be cool too as long as they aren't a septum or those ugly "snake bites"....i hate those cuz they get in the way of kissing and seem pointless. Clit, ear, and belly button can be hot tho

I have many...many tattoos. Two full sleeves, chest, back, ribs, feet, legs etc. Tattoos are, at least in my case, an addiction. That being said, it's a subculture in which I often find that I am only attracted towards others who are also tattooed. This is one of the many reasons I became attracted towards my wife. She herself has a sleeve, and many piercings to include microdermals, guaged ears, and nipples. It's very attractive in my opinion.

Can't stand tattoos, never saw a "tasteful" one. Maybe the way I was brought up. And when you get one in your 20s, what will it look like when your 70? A small belly ring , beyond ears is the only piercing I find attractive. I'll take a very fit tight body over one with tats.

C'mon, ya wiseacre! 'Fess up! (Mostly I want to know to congratulate you for making me laugh.) :D
