The Colts beat the New England Patriots, 27-20 in Foxboro, Mass., for Second Consecutive Season!! Whoooo Hoooo!!!!

With quarterback Peyton Manning passing for more than 300 yards for a team-record tying third consecutive game, and with a maligned defense making clutch plays at important times, the Colts beat the New England Patriots, in front of 68,756 fans at Gillette Stadium.

Manning completed 20 of 36 passes for 326 yards and two touchdowns with an interception for a passer rating of 93.1.

The defense contributed in a big way.

Because as much as the victory was about Manning and the Colts offense, and as much as it was about another huge game for Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison, it was about a Colts defense that had been criticized throughout the season shutting down a Patriots offense that scored 31 points in a nationally-televised victory over Minnesota last week.

Five turnovers committed by the normally mistake-free Patriots.

The Colts intercepted Patriots quarterback Tom Brady four times – twice in each half – and the Colts also recovered a Patriots fumble.

The victory allowed the Colts (8-0) to maintain their three-game lead in the AFC South, and also gave them the AFC’s best record by two games at the season’s midway point.

It also was the Colts’ second consecutive victory in Foxboro.

The Colts, until last season, had lost nine consecutive games to the Patriots in Foxboro, and six consecutive games to the Patriots overall.

It also made the Colts the NFL’s last remaining unbeaten team!!

The victory was the Colts’ 30th in their last 33 regular season games. They have won 29 consecutive games in which their playoff seeding was undecided.

“The thing I like about our team is we’re finding a way to win,” Colts Head Coach Tony Dungy said. “We’re still not playing our best, and aren’t playing exceptionally sharp all the way around, but we’re finding ways to win. “I’m proud of our guys, because we didn’t necessarily keep our poise and we did some things that were uncharacteristic tonight, but we still won. “We’re 8-0, so I guess that’s a good sign.”

Way to go COLTS!!! - I just love it when my team wins!!!

Why are you rooting for the Colts if you are from Florida! What about the Dolphins?

Not saying I don't like them, but I really got into the game the other night!!
Especially when I realized they were undefeated!! It probably had something to do with the drinking I was doing & it also helps to have a cute quarterback!! ;)

Damn, saw the title and thought you were talking about "streakers" (people running naked on the field)...:eek
Besides, what I know about American footy I could easily fit on the head of a pin with a crayon:(

LOL! Well, we could start a "streaking" thread! :lol
I don't claim to be an expert, but I love to watch it & root for my team!
And any excuse to have a cold one is a good one! :p
