Is anyone else here excited about the start of College Football, the impending NFL season, or the Wild-Card races, or am I the only one the board that doesn't think solely with their genitals? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

I suppose you're one of the crazies that thought Nebraska was better than Michigan in '97?

Damn Straight!;) That was a fucking awesome game & I hated the thought of sharing the title. But I got over it within 5 minutes after the game....it was a sad moment for the Husker fans having to say goodbye to one of the greatest coaches Tom Osborne.

i just transfered out of UND... i'm so sad... the sports at my new school are no where near the caliber or energetics of UND....
I'll miss the UND/NDSU rivalry too...cuz ndsu moved to D1 football and it makes me sad

i LOVE fighting sioux sports....football and hockey

UND had/has a pretty good rivalry going with Grand Valley for D2 supremacy in football.

yeh... but it still wont be the same... UND and NDSU are only an hour apart...and both with LARGE football followings...people used to tailgate even if they couldnt get tickets to the game...there would barely be space to park in the lots if you just wanted to watch... and i'm a little partial to that particular rivalry cuz it was the first college game i ever went to... i was like 6 and it was so aweseom

I'm with ya Fank about the playoffs. But I'm hoping against hope (As usual) for my Cubs to pull it through. It can be rough being a Cubs fan, but they are the best to watch, espacially live at Wrigley. Eamus Catuli!

The Cubbies need to get it together and make the playoffs before they worry about anything else. They choked Saturday against the Mets, lost to the sucky Mets again on Sunday, then lost to the sucky Reds yesterday.

I know, they just swept the Reds two weeks ago and are even struggling aginst them right now. When their pitching is smothering, their bats are nowhere to be found, and when they hit 5 homeruns a game, their bullpin is minor league in quality. If they can pull it all together in time I believe they can beat anybody in the league. That's just the problem, can they pull it together in time? We'll see.

Yeah, more talent than the Dodgers, the Giants and the Braves for sure. They're probably very close in talent to the Cards and 'Stros.

If Prior and Wood can pitch near their ceilings, not to mention Zambrano, they would be very tough to beat, especially in a 5 game set.

Should be a great last week to see who gets it.

Ya, should be a great last week. But no matter what happens...as long as there is breath in my lungs I will continue to carry the message. And as my mother did for me I will do for my 4 month old daughter, place me in front of the tv in my bouncy seat everyime the cubs are on the tv and/or radio. :)
