SF Weight Loss Gang

    Well, as some of you know, I've been working to drop some excess pounds and get in better shape. Posting here has been great motivation to look better, and to feel better too. It may be hard to tell, but 6 weeks ago I was 220 lbs. At 6'1" it's easy to disguise the weight, but it still wasn't healthy. So I decided to do something about it.

    I've been eating better and exercising more. On top of the things I already changed, such as cutting back on, then eliminating pop from my diet, drinking more water, switching to 0% skim milk, etc.

    I started 6 weeks ago at 220 lbs. I've dropped a notch on my belt already, and have been feeling better all around. I hopped on the scale this morning, and I'm down to 204 lbs. Not where I want to be, but damn, it's a good start!

    Anyone else have stories of fitness, diet or weight loss for inspiration?

    i wanna loose a few pounds toooand i wanna tone up my ass a lil, looking at my old pics from years ago my ass looke dbetter than it does now so i wanna get that sorted so im working on that now, started drinking mnore water , i walk to work and back im working two jobs wer i am always mving round and ive yet to find a local swimming pool to go swimming in coz i love it and even if i dont loose anything fast i will feel better for actually doing it so, thing is i got a bad habit i dont have a set eating plan i mean i eat when im told too otherwise i will just forget bout food alogether my so has to remind me to go get food so i gues si shud start having set meals an dal that too lol
    any tips an dhandy hints are more than welcome

    Congrats hf , thats a great amount to drop in 6 weeks :)
    And it does feel good to, makes you feel more confident and better within yourself to...
    Keep up the good work. ( new pics to show off perhaps ? hehehe )


    Minxy i as you know can saftly say you are a hot looking huny babe.. but yes a regular schedule for meals will help you a lot hun :)

    Good for you Heel. I started about the same thing 2 weeks ago. I haven't weighed myself but I am like bloated. Looks like I drank a keg of beer. You are smart for doing at your age. Believe me it gets harder as the years go by. Of course I am not exercising like I should. But working 2 jobs, I don't have the energy. It's hell getting old.

    mhmmm now that my work shedule is mostly sorted i can start to arrange meal times around them :) i actually drank like 2 litres of water today at work alone i had my lil water bottle on my team pad trolly as i was going round and hell i didnt feel as droswy .isnt water supposed to increase your concentration ?

    I am not sure about that, but it does help fight against dehydration, and helps to clean the body of unwanted toxins. 2 litres a day is something that well be very beneficial to all that do that each day :)

    I am also losing weight!!

    Am on the slimfast diet and also working out quite a bit

    150 sit ups on my ab roller every day

    Lifting cans of beer to strengthen my arms

    and dancing on my kitchen floor every day too!!

    I wanna lose some weight before I travel in September!!!

    uhuu i nee all teh encouragement i can get and u know why ...........................coz i am lazy lol i aint gonna lie and say oh but this that lol i am lazy so i need motivation lol at the minite my motivation i sto look better for pics and going out and such ^.^

    i hate exercise...i love dancing though

    Why dont you get yerself an ab roller...they are relatively
    cheap and you can do a lot more sit ups than you would
    without it!!!

    I do 50 3 times a day...and it takes just minutes...

    It comes with a video so you can try different positions

    lol

    I aim to be back at the weight i was just before i got pregnant
    with our son...which is....150 pounds...

    OMG.....I HOPE I CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    oooo sounds liek an idea, i mean i do have a spare room in which i can do stuff like that, i used to reallly get heated up when i was doingmy self defense course absolutly loved it , got my dads old army kit bag filled it with old clothes and he toughed it up and had it in teh garden for me so might see fi i can get it back from my mums bad thing is th o canvas wrecks ur knuckles :(

    Wow, Heely, you rock, man! Keep up the good work.

    I've dropped nearly 60 lbs. since last June. I had tried various fad diets and ended up just doing my own thing to lose. I also joined Curves, which has been a big help.

    Thanks, Scorp! I still have a long way to go, but whenever I feel like I haven't made progress I just look at my before and after pics. Always pics me up. I'd post them here, but that's a big step.

    It would be like attending a slimming club.......!!!!!

    Dont feel you have to i know it would be difficult...but that is
    how you used to be and not how you are now!
