Okay, Let me link to the youtube video of 2 songs, in case anyone isn't familiar with these songs.

    Divinyls - I Touch Myself - YouTube
Alannah Myles (Official Site) Black Velvet - YouTube

So we have 2 different songs which I am of the opinion both are very sexy. Black Velvet is a little slower while I Touch Myself is a little faster. If my wife did a dance to Black Velvet it would be a turn-on to me, but she prefers faster pace songs for sexyness.

So I've heard this before that it's a difference in what women and men find sexy, so I thought I'd poll the populace.

And really what I'm getting at is whether there's a correlation between what each gender finds sexier, namely slower or faster pace... So if you don't like either song then just pick Black Velvet if you like the slower pace and I Touch Myself if you like the faster pace. While I'm asking in terms of music, it could apply more generally to other aspects of sexuality so consider it open to your interpretation.

    Hello Husband,

I voted for Black Velvet, it was a very quick decision because of the slower pace for me, but the lyrics and her voice are sexy aswell. Even as a kid when that song was released I always enjoyed watching her in the video.
Maybe thats another reason why I picked that song so easily?

Also, and I could be wrong but I thought that our subconcious actually play's a lrg part in what we like and dislike?

The only example I can think of is, when we are attracted to someones physical appearance do we know exactly why we are attracted to that man or women???
Could be the hair, face, body, etc. For face I have heard that it is based on symetry of features.
We know we like what we see but dont know why exactly, but our subconcious does according to research.

Every individual is different, so I think it would be difficult to generalize exactly what and why people like/enjoy or prefer the things they do based on sex alone.

I dont really have much else to add but I am curious what other opinions are.

Ok easy for me also; Black Velvet for the music/song.
The other video was way more visually sexy but this factor is not being considered by the OP's questions.

I prefer Black Velvet but not just because it's slower. I don't like the words to I Touch Myself.

Dammit, sorry HOR, I just realised having voted with the ladies for Black Velvet.
Messed up the stats some but blame CG as her polls always had the girls first and she has already imprinted on my behaviour :)

I chose I Touch Myself because it reminds me of one of the Folkies back in the 70s who did a song describing her physiological reactions during an orgasm, in some detail, but I also like Black Velvet for the slower pace.

So here's the hypothesis I wanted to test.

I've previously posted a discussion about songs for sex. I forget how much I said at the time, but I had a good list of sexy songs and some of them just didn't appeal to my wife.

Songs we use and that she likes:
    Joi - Lick
    Monifah - Touch it
    Rihana - Let Me
Zapp & Roger - More Bounce To The Ounce.

    Pretty much all uptempo songs.

I liked these songs but she didn't:
    Black Velvet
Portishead - Roads & Glory Box
    Paula Cole - Feelin Love

    Pretty much slower tempo songs.

What I've heard before is that there's a similar difference between the tempo that men and women prefer with striptease.

I would be inclined to categorize Hungry Eyes more as romantic than sexy.

I want to also throw out that the difference between the two songs is there style too. While "I touch myself" is an obvious song trying to be sex, "Black Velvet" is much more subtle, sultry, and sexy in not only it's pace but the actual lyrics to the song.

I guess leaving a little more to the imagination not only applies to clothing ;)

Put my vote in with your opinion on this one.
If you saw the video you see it's about the guy having eyes for her but someone else has her heart.
