The wife and I are ditching the kids for a week and going out to Sedona. We plan on Mt biking and hiking quite a bit. Any other suggestions on activities out there?

I'm taking my Canon 7D and 30D plus my Sony Camcorder and new Garmin action cam. Oh they'll be pics.

    I will check it out.

Yay for Sedona! If you or your wife are into the arts, you will find all sorts of shops with beautiful handmade items. The city's shops and restaurants and other paid activities are somewhat pricey. There is a Native American ruin that is well worth the time. I found it to be fascinating. There is probably more than one ruin, but right now I can't remember the name of it. If I remember, I will let you know. Above and beyond all else, the whole area is strikingly beautiful, so if you like that sort of thing you will love it whether on foot or otherwise.

When ever we travel, we bring back local art, we have a ton of pottery and carvings. I've heard Sedona can be a bit pricey. I'm used to the Midwest where everything is free LOL. The scenery should be a big change from what we are used to. Everything is green and tree covered here. The only place that's greener is maybe Vermont, which we love. We're skiing in the Poconos over Christmas, but we've been there a couple of times, we'll hit NYC for a couple of days.... the kids love NYC.

I've never done it and probably never will, but you strike me as a base jumping, hang gliding, bungee jumping sort... Maybe look into stuff like that in the area. :)

I think it is established that BC64 is pretty wild but not overtly stupid!
It is very doubtful he would take on for simple thrills something he does not himself have full control over.

I don't think of those things (well... base jumping...) as stupid - they're pretty controlled according to everything I've ever seen/read about them. Most "mistakes" are totally due to people being dumbasses and not listening to/following proper safety guidelines.

And c'mon - BC64 would totally do hang gliding... at 36,000 ft while playing some form of literal air hockey. :p

Base jumping, no. Hang gliding and bungee jumping, Depends on price. With two more trips in the next 7 months, can't go overboard. Did have a cousin killed in a ultralight crash. Wife will probably oppose until the kids are both in college though. I don't get my Hayabusa till then either.... something about being around for the kids crap....

We'll be skiing for the most part, but the kids love the city. And it gets us out of seeing my sister.

Oh that's a given.... and plenty of it.

We drive, and we'll pass through Flagstaff. I take too much camera gear and computers plus we don't rent bikes. We've spent a small fortune getting our bikes exactly the way we like them so we take them everywhere. Biked from Vancouver to Colorado to Florida to Cape Cod. Plus since I'm not in control, I generally don't fly. I have a friend whos a pilot for United and after listening to some of his stories.... no thanks. Have a nice plush smaller SUV, I'll drive.

We're back, the condo had a block on "certain sites" so I couldn't post this past week. I shot about 3600 frames and three dozen video clips, no none of sex, sorry. I'll process them and post some.

Very nice photographs. Thank you for sharing them.

But what do they think was going on right in the condo?
