Ok, so for those of you who know who this is I would like to discuss some of his "controversial" topics. Feel free to chime in with what ever topics he presents that you would like to add. I will however begin the thread with a basic concept. Nudity, what if it was not a choice?

I will begin, So I have a few questions how necessary is clothing. In his books he discusses many things that are considered taboo with in our culture simply because they are customs. I have another question to if you all would please respond what convictions do you have that would ultimately be considered customs if looked at rationally?

As far as nudity, what exactly is the problem with seeing breast, genitals or butts?

A century ago it was knees/upper legs for females.

In some of the middle east it is women faces that are taboo to be shown in public is that not the same basic irrational thought behind nudity? How much nudity of the body is appropriate?

In most of his books he claims that showing less nudity is often more sexually stimulating than showing bare skin. Which I completely agree with I much prefer porn that shows women almost completely covered and being slowly unwrapped that porn that shows a close up of breast and etc...

Just think about it no clothes. We will start there and perhaps expand on the topic of taboos.

Seeing my GF...scantily clad, but not nude is a turn on 4 me. She looks unreal nude (with her heels still on of course..ha) but nothing is hotter than a girl dressed sexy and leaving it 2 the imagination of the admirer....

I also believe that less is more. Although I have shown my breasts online I have chosen not to do full nude shots or "gyno" shots. This is not an indictment of those that do. I simply have chosen not to do so.

Some of my sexier pics do not involve nudity. I hope they entice the viewer to use their imagination. The promise of more, the tease if often very seductive.

I have found that I enjoy porn now that isn't really porn it is more erotic posing. I just seem to enjoy it a lot more than I do the straight pounding.

I loved the pin up photos of the 1950's. Voluptuous women, seductively posed.

I also agree with the porn. I like to watch the seduction, the foreplay. The teasing. It is very sexy for me to see a woman's hand on the crotch area of a man in his pants, or to see him squeeze her breast through her blouse.... Very sensuous.

Ok so I've had the op to live in the Far east, middle east, central, south and north America.

No matter where you live, what is appropriate is dependant on where you are, accepted "Values" and target audience.

No clothes is fine at the adult beach, no so much at the Mall with the kids. The "Problem" is, I don't need to see it 24/7. There are plenty of practical reasons we don't just run around naked.....Try welding with Mr Winkie hanging out!

    wouldn't recommend cooking bacon either.

The one hand there is what is wrong with seeing genitalia, breast, butt, etc. But again further down he mentions porn. The straight pounding in porn does not appeal to him as much as the "erotic posing" So did seeing that porn desensitize him or just became bored with it. So if nudity was presented as less of a taboo we would view it differently.

The other gentleman makes it a point too.. one was a more practical reasons, the other was of course.. just not something he needs to see 24/7 and that there are appropriate places

Both of you seem to be in agreement. that less is sometimes more.

Didn't there use to be a song that included the line -"in days of old a glimpse of stocking was considered shocking".

If you expose one thing then you have to cover another to keep an aspect of allure.

So my only reading of Heinlein was Stranger in a Strange Land which certainly challenged my 17 year old brain those many years ago; I am a vegetarian for 40 years so eating my dead friend would not be an option. As far as customs related to nudity or titillation, it will always be that what is covered will be sought. In island societies where breasts are exposed and primarily noted for their biological function there is no erotic quality assigned to them. Personally, I love the curve of a woman's breast just under her armpit, which is also difficult to see so when I get a nice glimpse it is like a score.
