Ehhh I'll recycle but don't expect me to buy any. It's like buying a second rate condom. Just sounds wrong in sooooo many ways. Gawd now I have something else to check for when I buy toys.

OMG how totally disgusting. Since there is no way of sterilizing Jelli, Cyberskin, Rubber and such. Now glass toys you can sterilize completely, but still disgusting!!!
OMG though LOL with all the toys I own I could be rich!!!!

I don't know how they actually treat the material. If it were possible to totally melt and re-mold the stuff, then the heat process would probably make it sterile. As for glass toys, why would you get rid of one of those in the first place? Ya might break one I suppose but they don't wear out.

In any event, this is pretty suspicious to me. Can't imagine much of a profit margin.

I was hoping something like that would exist, but now, it just seems disgusting. How sure are they that it will not come packaged with HIV or something? :lol (ok that's not really laughable but i'm a sick sick person!) hehehe:dgrin

The idea of recycling is a good one. We do it with paper, plastic and aluminum cans, so why not old worn out toys? However, the idea of refurbishing one is just as......as hf said....Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!

I don't like the idea of recycling sex toys.... but I did give a gay friend of mine an old vibrator of mine as I wasn't using it anymore, but I guess that's just sharing not recycling.

Sounds like something China would do, and export it to us.

    Today's trivia:
The Chinese sent up 3 more astronauts and brought them safely back home this week.

I've read that they believe the world is rightfully theirs and the rest of us are only an anomaly to be dealt with.
Can't recall my source for that, but I believed it at the time.:shrug

I'm wondering to whom they'd market these recycled and refurbished sex toys. No one in their right mind would buy a dildo make from recycled used dildos or a refurbished vibrator. :ugh

    Yeah but...

Vibrators and dildos aren't that expensive, anyway. And even if it is perfectly safe and good for the environment, it's just fucking gross.

Certain things just shouldn't be recycled.

But think of the treehuggers! Why won't you think of the treehuggers?! Ummm, hello, pollution!!!111! Used dildos, vibrators, and butt plugs are clogging our landfills! Think of the planet!

OK, I can't keep a straight face any longer. :lol

I don't get what you're all going on about. If this is real, and assuming they can dissolve or otherwise break down the silicon rubber, and other plastic materials, to make something new, what's the problem? I'd assume they'd have a sterile cleaning process, like any other recycling. Any organic matter would be destroyed in the process, and the resulting acids would need to be chemically separated to make usable plastics / rubber again.

Sealed mechanical parts are easily sterilized, etc. Besides they say any material not usable is responsibly disposed of.

You don't think they'd just send a "used" toy out do you?
