What exactly happens at a gyno appointment? How does the procedure go? What questions do they ask you?

Well basically it is up on the table and spread 'um.

That's a little crude, but it's really nothing special. They ask you to put on one of their paper gowns or XXXL T-shirts, and you wait on the table. When the doctor comes she asks if you've had anything irregular happen in your monthly, and if you've had any abdominal pain. She spreads you with a speculm (sp) and takes a look inside at your cervix. She puts a little pipe cleaner looking thing inside to get a sample of the cells on your cervix to check for cancers. And that's pretty much it.

Naw, not sick. Just uncomfortable. When they take the cells from your cervix that can hurt, but it is more just a case of being uncomfortable. I mean this is some strange person you've never seen before looking up in your vagina, and putting their fingers in there. It can be very awkward.

Do they ask you how many partners you've had, and about your sexual practices, or not? What kind of questions do they ask?

    other ques

They also ask you what kind of birth control you are on if any. All I have to say is the pill rocks because there is no loosing sensation as with a condom. Thank goodness for technology!!

i've never thought condoms reduced sensation, at least not for me, and even on the pill condoms hitting your cervix can cause abnormal paps

    what I meant

What I mean was that condoms reduce sensation during sex for both guys and girls. At least for me I love it when I can my bf's head going in and out of me. The couple of times he has used a condom, it felt like he had no head, just one big penis. Plus I hate that rubbery feeling!
