    Hi,
I am 43. I have this problem of going soft right in the middle of the performance. I used to be great earlier, may be age is catching up. I understand that Viagra is good option but I have this fear of side effects (may be unfounded but still a fear), and I have history of drug reactions.

I have heard that there are some very effective natural stimulants are available. But I am even more fearful of bad stuff. Can anybody suggest a tried and tested natural stimulant or any other method?

Do you eat well? Exercise? This could be contributing to the problem.

"Natural stimulants" are often more dangerous than meds like Viagra, they just haven't been tested thoroughly like the well-known prescription drugs. I'd recommend seeing your doctor about the problem and, if prescribed, Viagra or Cialis LONG before I'd recommend "natural" remedies from a health store.

    Hay while the sun shines!

How is your blood pressure and heart rate? These are 2 important points. But do have your doc check you out, and give you a recommendation. The internet has loads of info on possible side effects, which can include damage to your optic nerve.

But the health benefits of a good lay, over not getting laid at all are crystal clear! Stay active and enjoy it all you can while you can!

The most important condition to check for is diabetes, as it can go untreated for years. Untreated diabetes causes small blood vessel damage, which can result in impotence. Blood pressure is less of a problem, but if diagnosed then blood pressure medications can cause impotence. But before anything a full check-up is in order, because we should be sexually capable in our forties and beyond.

AS I said earlier - SEE YOUR DOCTOR! Don't mess with herbs or anything else on your own.

Agreed. You want to treat the disease, not the symptom. Erectile probs certainly can be a symptom of other health issues. Only a competent doctor can tell you that.

Most 'herbal' remedies are just caffeine in pill or bottle form.

Alcohol and/or cigarettes can start causing problems when you get into your 40s and 50s. And I don't necessarily mean excessive use either. When I was young, alcohol gave me staying power; that was then and this is now, at the age of 52.
