I am having a bout with this condition. It is taking a lot out of my psyche:mad[MAD][/MAD]. Wife says it does not effect her too much, though I feel it does bother her considerably.
~has anyone had a bout that overcame (no pun) and if so what course of action was used.

VERY VERY frustrated and wanting some insight

Kind of, usually I've always cum fairly quickly on the first round after it's been a while since we got together for some fun. If we are getting it everyday, then I last a while. even the first round. If we go 2 to 4 days without I'll cum faster on the first round.

I don't know if this is appropriate to suggest, and mods please don't give me the boot if it is (I looked for posting rules but didn't find any), but when I was learning how to control my orgasm I used pain meds like percodan or other codeine based substance (I had a legal prescription from some dental work) - 1/2 a tab worked fine. The reason I did this was because, in order to keep my self hard, I had to tense up my penis, and in so doing helped to bring on my orgasm, which I really didn't want to have so soon. The feeling that needed to be supressed was the one when the semen moves from it's storage sac into the ejaculatory duct, in preparation for release. I was also able to maintain a firmer erection longer, and the only downside was that it made me a bit constipated the next day. I tried taking a whole dose of it once, and I was unable to cum at all.

This method was part of a learning process, and after a while I didn't have to take anything to delay ejaculation. Now I can hold off an orgasm as long as I want, and only cum when I want to.

masterbate before hand, then go at it with your wife. try desensitizing creams or condoms. really, it could just be a mental thing. just relax and breathe deep. tense up and holding your breath will make you pop quicker. always thinking, don't cum, don't cum, or worrying about it will actually make you cum quicker. i'm not saying, think about football. i'm saying thinking about how beautiful her eyes are, how silky her skin is, how wavy her hair is, how hard her nipples get, how wet she is. basically think more about her. also, if you feel like you're about to cum and its too soon, pull out and tease her, go down on her for a minute or so till you cool down a bit. then keep going. good luck.

I decided to "man-up" and go to the Dr. He said it was very common and prescribed low-dose Zoloft. I have been on it for about 2 weeks and have noticed a little difference but Dr. said it would take about 3-4 weeks to notice a difference.

Practice holding back your orgasm during masturbation. Bringing yourself to the edge and holding back will help you control yourself during the actual act. Start with a dry palm and see how long you can go. Next, lubricate and operate. This is always the harder challenge however if practiced can be very successful. Also, try masturbating shortly before you do the horizontal dance and the session should last longer.

I find changing a lot of positions makes it easier. Also pull her to the end or side of your bed and if you feel like your going to cum pull out that go down on her. While doing that use your other hand to help keep you hard and just think of what your doing to please yourself. Then get her all worked up with your tongue and fingers then slowly stand up and slid back in. Sometime if she is real tight it helps if you start trusting faster. Slow makes the friction to much which can make you cum. So if you pull almost all the way out and then back in and you do thins faster than you normally do it makes it easier not to come. I mean every guy has this problem. To a point. Hopefully your wife is understanding and will work with you. also for some reason when I'm on my back I can last longer. One of the most important words of advice I can give you is even if you do cum do not end it there. You have many other ways of making her cum. If she like to cum with your cock in her and you feel your gonna cum to quick find her g spot with your tongue and finger and maker her cum and while shes cumming slid in and try to finish her with your cock.... Good luck.. Take a movie and let us know how it goes... Lol...

You can retrain your ejaculatory reflex. Nyxx taught you one of the methods for retraining. Another tip is to watch your own breathing. If you're starting to breathe faster, consciously slow down your breathing. It can help you slow down your entire arousal reflex.

Have her, or you can, stroke it until you're almost there, then stop, start again, almost there, stop again.

(But the most effective way, don't F*ck with it) JK

Thanks, I figured some of the problem. TOOO MUCH CAFFEINE. Was taking a weight loss supplement (during the time of quick draw). Stopped and the issue is diminishing.

    Glad to hear it.
What I do to last is when were going at it and I feel close to cumming I'll pull out and bring her to the side of the bed stand in front of her and start over but when I pump into her I keep my body rigid, instead of thrusting with my hips, I'll alternate back and forth from rigid to using my hips, but if I go too long she starts to dry up.

Zoloft does work wonders, I was on a high dose (200mg) when I was depressed, it takes a few weeks to work but when it does... hours will pass by, and that actually upset me more due to the fact that on about 30% of the times I had to just stop because I couldn't cum. Ask a Dr about it and find the dosage that works for you... just be warned that Zoloft affects your GI tract so for the first week or so you're going to feel nauseous.

My experience may be unique but I've found that ed medication made quite a dramatic difference for me.
Initially I tried Viagra from a friend just like many, out of curiosity. It did make things more rigid but the huge plus was it somehow allowed me to basically perform as long as I choose to.

I liked the effect so much I explained the effect to my Dr who had no problem writing me a prescription.. its been several years now and nothing has changed...w out meds my junk works but is less rigid and the urge to cum is pretty sets on fairly quickly.
One pill and I'm rockin for however long she/we want.

    Your mileage may vary...

    :)

one word. cymbalta. Was perscribed it for pain, and found out the hard way, it took me 4ever to cum. very frustrated. Dropped dose from 60 mg. to 30 mg.. The upside is, the tingley first part of my orgasms now lasts for sometimes up to a minute to a minute and a half!!!!:phat:eek

See your doctor. It's been mentioned before, but it's worth mentioning again that antidepressants can help with this problem and potentially make you a superman.

My man has this problem and has had it for a long time. We use a spray called "stud delay" and it does help a little.

A lot of the time it is a mental thing.. in fact most the time it is. They're still many people where it is just physical.

That being said, I use to have an issue with it and the reasons were many.

I drank a lot of caffeinated alcoholic beverages.. This caused quite a bit of nervousness and anxiety when not drinking.

When I slowed down consumption the ejaculatory problem got worse and worse. The main reason why is that I was thinking too much about the orgasm. I was also worrying about if I was pleasing her or not. It is strange to say this, as it is what I think is best about sex (Pleasing her and having an orgasm).

But there have been a couple replies of retraining yourself, which I believe is the best method. Learn how your body reacts to different thoughts and actions. Learn how her body reacts to the same. It sounds much easier than it really is.

It might work differently for you, but for me the best way to train my mind was to not try so hard, and just be in the moment. It will eventually come.

I think medicines are a bad idea.. You are only delaying the problem.

Gotta love ending with a couple puns :p

Better yet ask for Lexapro. I get it from my doc and it works GREAT. I dont take it all the time but will take it a couple times a week at a low dose. Its is a little stronger that zoloft. And works faster. Overall, You then feel more confident! Also, try something like HardNights. It gives you would for a couple days with out the headache of the Bluepill.
