There's been a few very suspicious new accounts lately, here. They are single young females, the age is usually between 18-22. The pictures look like they were lifted from FaceBook, or other social media, and some pics include other people, shows faces, but almost never nudes. This type of activity happened occasionally on another site I belonged to, and were called "revenge" accounts, set up by ex-boyfriends or rejected suitors to potentially embarrass a young woman, and would be removed by moderators if they were deemed to be fraudulent. For some reason, the women are often Asian, in college or recent graduates, and from California.

If it seems too good to be true, that's because it probably isn't.

It's always a problem on forums. I belong to a chess foram and it even happens on that one.

With all due respect to the art of Chess, and the lovely eroticism that we enjoy here, these fraudulent accounts should be deleted ASAP because the people in these pictures are at risk of being seen in a light that is not good for their careers, family, social life, etc.

So weird that this thread was started today, I just posted a random thought about this! Whether it's revenge or something else, it's obvious.

Hmm, I guess I need to start paying more attention...this is disturbing.
I wonder how the admins determine who has a fake profile...

The way they used to do it at PicHunter was to tell the person with a suspicious account to email a recognizable picture of themselves holding a sign that had the name of the site on it, sort of like the "verified" system that was used here for a while, but in the case of SexualForums, it was voluntary. If they didn't cooperate, they were banned.

It seems a simple way to stop this from happening , ( or at least greatly reduce its frequency)..is to have people establish themselves here as members before they're allowed to post picks. It's doubtful someone would join a forum , then spend a month establishing themselves, just to post " revenge pics".
But I know that's an old school way of thinking.

True, as far as revenge accounts go, pics are normally posted quickly.
I always check too see if a new member has filled out thier profile, generally 'revenge' accounts don't do that.
I have seen fakes establish themselves on forums.

I haven't been on here enough to notice. Any site like this or dating sites will always have fake or revenge accounts, not sure how a person could ever stop them.

Well in the UK (and in other countries as well) we have legislation that allows the police to get involved in online activity involving revenge (in cases where naked and/or sexual photos are posted). So sending them to prison for a while is a pretty good way to stop them. ;)
