My husband calls me his Panda and I call him "E" or "my kitty". We call him "E" because his name is Ian and it's pronounced "E-N" ^_^

All of his cakes since we started dating have had "E" on them.

Oh my - there are so many.

For 4 months of every year she is "my old lady" . . . then I have a birthday, and we're the same age again. There was, of course, one year when she was "my over-the-hill old lady", but I was still only in my 30's. At the moment she is genuine, certified, "elderly", but I'm still only in my 50's.

Of course, she has been "the woman I live with" since we got married. And occasionally, "my FIRST wife" - as in, "I'll put that on the list of things my NEXT wife won't do.". (Yeah, she also has a list for her NEXT husband. Both lists are quite long - our next spouses will be fabulously perfect people!)

Sometimes she's "long, lean, and luscious". Though the "lean" part is a mixed blessing - as a 34-A, she was also "skinny broad with no boobs". She never figured out how she could simultaneously be skinny and broad. Since her one-side mastectomy 18 months ago we don't joke about the boobs any more.

And she's still my "beautiful, brainy, brunette", even though it has long turned to silver. It all fell out during breast cancer treatment last year, and is now coming back totally curly. I wish it would hurry up and grow faster, so we can see what it'll look like when it's LONG and curly.

They're also known as "Mexican walking fish". Ours is similar to the one in the picture but they come in several different colours.

They seem to be similar but axolotls are from Mexico and nearly extinct in the wild. A quick glance at Wikipedia tells me that mud puppies are from North America.

Yes, they inhabit streams and creeks around here. Their numbers have dropped from polution and other factors, but not quite to the level of axolotis.
