I thought I would ask some opinions here..Something I have been curious about.

Girls, what types of personalities do you like..what attracts you, and turns you on.

    Upbeat and happy?

    Quiet?

    The eyes-potraying-loneliness-yet-will-not-show-it-stylish?

    Depressed?

    Moderate?

Just threw out a few there..

By the way, I'm a new poster - please excuse the nickname, I use it for all of my forums I'm on.

Confident, but not cocky.. Humorous as well.

A lot of women prefer different personalities, don't try and change yours to fit them though. :) Unless your an ass. :lol (Some women like that though)

Confident but not cocky? I like an upbeat personality. Energetic people are usually fun. :) Preferably an optimist (no offense AnonymousOne...I like you for other reasons. A negative, gloomy mood can be fun but not all of the time.)

    :)

Yes, I can't stand it when I see fellow guys changing there personalities for a woman.

Personally, I am confident, and probably a little bit arrogant.

As long as the person is open-minded, respectful and authentic, that is fine with me. I don't think it would be a good idea for me to be with someone who is always negative though, because I have a tendency to be pessimistic myself, so it would get things worse. Being intellectual definitely is a plus.

I hate to make utopian lists because it seems the most wonderful people are often a cocktail of the delightfully unexpected :p, but I'll toss out a few qualities I find most admirable; intelligence, thoughtfulness, sense of humor and the ability to happily receive and give love. A measure of sensuality sure sweetens the deal, too! :p

You understood everything but the slaggin, so it couldnt have been gibberish could it ?
Straight for the juggular way to go Hiker ......
Maybe taking those big spiked hiking boots of before trampling over someone would help a little lol

But i think she is more meaning being able to take the piss out of each other in a funny friendly sort of way..( Meaning both being so comfatable with each other you can both rip into each other verbaly and it wouldnt be offencive just fun )

Warm, friendly, kind hearted , is willing to have and show her own opinions on things, and have a certain confidence about herself . And above all down to earth ..

Hehehehe lol pirouette, I said that only because Hiker had stated he didnt understand the Slagin part so i took it as he had understood the rest :p

And i somehow doubt your a dumb dancer type lol
Maybe its because i come across a lot of different types of writing in lots of different forms, or because i lake a certain intelectual substance that offends a certain minority roflmao :p :brow

Forgive me i am Sirgrinalot :phat

I know, I know...but you'd be amazed at the simple things I misunderstand and the fact that I am somewhat clumsy without music and preset movement. I guess I prefer things written plainly so there's no chance of misinterpreting it.

Back on topic....I also forgot to mention how much I like a good tease. A person that's not prepared to give it all up at once.....enticement.

Personalities and relationships, what attracts one to another? Fortunately, for each of us it is different! An interesting post, and I suspect the mature and confident guy who is personable and has a sense of humour is going to win. Funny that.

But for each of us, the attraction is someone who has the potential to have shared goals and values for life. The introvert will be attracted to another slightly introverted person, the esoteric to an esoteric, the family-focussed to a family-focussed, the sensual to a sensual. The lists go on, we each have different ideals when we start looking, and with luck we find the partner who overlaps us, but also adds extra to us, so the partnership ends up being a greater thing than the two individuals.

How can you be confident and not cocky. usually you cant tell on the outside (expressions on someones face) but when they speak you can tell theyre cocky,. but how do you not look cocky with your facial expressions, but remain confident looking? Sometimes i look around a room with an expressionaless face, and some people think i am being cocky but im not.

Being confident and cocky are two completely different things...

    Cocky people arent always confident....

I have spotted people with a quiet confidence a mile off...

    They are more serene......
