    You know, I'ved been thinking?

I wonder If we, in thge future are going to eventually as inhabitants of earth, Male and female, Will come out of our sexual shells after all the 5th and 6th generations die off. Like when the older people, The conservatives and what not, the ones who deny and become ignorant of the body's science and sexual health will cancel out and us younger generation (18-30)would bring more light and art to the human science. (Sexual health, experimentation, Fantasy's, Fetishes, and oreintation etc.) and become a more open minded generation in this world.

I guess i understand that the church has a lot of power over that part too. They view anything but old boring misionary is the one and only right way. That anything else is perverted. I don't think so! I mean..for most people in here, sexx isn't the biggest part of their lives, and it's not the only thing that we are fixated on. We run normal lives. We have our struggles and beliefs and everything else. We just see things differently.

I can hardly go into church anymore because i have seen so much control of other's beliefs and how so many of these people that attend regularly, like my father, are weak and can't really think for themselves. I find that religion, or atleast the church, denys this from their congregation. Sex Plays an important role in our overall health and or own behavior. I find it to be a very dangerous thing in this world today.

Denial can bring out the most ugly things in a person. I think also that this kind of world, Is why marriages don't last. Cause There is something that is constantly denied to them, Sex, and the two people lose their love and respect for one another. Sex brings out a lot of love and understanding. If churches could just accept this, I think the world would be a better place?

I believe if you study a little history you will find that young people of the 1920's, 1940's, 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, 1980's and 1990's all felt exactly the same way about what would happen when "their time" to create the sexual norms came to be. Every generation wants more sexual freedom while they are young and highly sexual. Every generation wants less sexual freedom when they marry off and begin raising families filled with children who they do not want to see participating in free sexual experimentation.

It is not a church/religious/conservative issue. It is more of a human nature issue.

People who attend church are not weak because of this, they gain strength through their faiths and they stay in the church because it reinforces their believs, not because it does the thinking for them. There is no secret group of illuminati making the rules for the rest of the world; in the church as in life the masses can swing the church to their belief. Churches exist because people believe in the teachings of Jesus and in the scriptures in the bible, a fair number of these teach sexual mores and I see no problem with people following these.

To look at open/free sex as the only correct state for the human animal ignores the entire social structure created since the codes of Hammarbi.

It means things aren't likely to change dramatically when we old farts die off. Social norms change slowly and swing both ways. We "older people" were once the free-love, sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll hippies of the 60s and 70s. Aside from more drug addiction now (meth is nasty stuff), I don't see much difference between the youth of today and the youth of yesteryear.

Even now, 40 years after the age of flower power and pot-filled hippie vans, marijuana use is still illegal across the U.S. (Yes, some states and cities have passed laws legalizing it for medical purposes, but the feds can still toss you in the slammer.) We know our last U.S. president smoked it ('though he didn't inhale *rolls eyes*), and we know our current U.S. president did some drugs (shows, doesn't it?), we still spend billions of tax dollars prosecuting and imprisoning users of the feel-good herb.

    *Climbs off soap box*

The more things change, the more they stay the same. I haven't seen anything from your generation to convince me that any major changes in our sexual attitudes are forthcoming. The road to change is a slow and winding one.

I agree with you Kbate. I like what you said. I guess I dont think that people hide thier sexuality much anymore at all. Its all out there for the taking. Aside from the illeagel stuff like kiddy porn. I think society today is open to all kinds of people and thier sexual orentation.
Now I wasnt born yesterday and understand that some people are cruel to other people but if you keep what happens in your bed between you and your partner its all good.
I see more freedom now then I did when I was younger.:ugh
