I'm looking for something that gives a subtle little slip and isn't all like your traditional runny liquid jelly stuff. Does something like this exist? Right now I have FemGlide and I hate it; it does away with all friction and runs into every crevice. So something that is the opposite of that is what I'm looking for.

Well, you don't want anything too tacky and thick. ICK!!

I use "Firefly". It's organic, and wonderful. I highly recommend it.

You might prefer the classic KY jelly. It's worth a try.

I think links to all our favorite lubes might be helpful for others who are experimenting. I have a touchy ph, so can't use the glycerin products.

I use plain old vasoline, I know some people dont recommend
it because it doesnt disolve in water so it stays around awhile.
but thats why I like it. unlike the 30 seconds you get with astroglide
it lasts all nite, The same is true with baby oil.
baby oil also taste good so those that mix oral sex in the game will love it.

I will post some research that I did personally on lubricants. Take it as you will. Bighiker, you want to remember that vaseline and baby oil degrade condoms, making them less than completely effective. Just a warning. Anyway, the following is a post I wrote for a sex education group that I own.......

Today I want to talk about lubricants. It amazes me how much we are just supposed to KNOW about sex and all that goes along with it.

There are several types of lubricants available, as well as several items couples tend to use as lubes, perhaps unsafely. I thought I would share some of my research with you.

Petroleum bases products such as Vaseline and baby-oil actually coat the inside of the vagine (when used internally) and create a playground for bacteria. They also degrade condoms, diaphragms, and other latex products, can be hard on sex toys, and can stain linen and clothing.

Mineral oil should also be avoided for internal use.

Water based lubricants are the most commonly recommended, however they typically contain glycerine which can encourage infection and irritation, especially in women prone to yeast infections. These products also dry out more quickly than other products.

Silicone based products are similar to water-based lubes, except they are completely waterproof, so they are great for underwater play. They last longer than water based lubes, and will not harm latex barriers. Do remember, though, that silicone based lubes can harm those higher end sex toys made from silicone.

Lubes containing nonoxynol-9 can cause irritation. These lubes are most useful to those concerned with preventing pregnancy. Nonoxynol-9 has been advertized to help decrease the likelihood of transmitting HIV, but there is little supporting evidence to the claims to date.

Massage oils are not meant to be sexual lubricants, and should be kept away from genitals unless the bottle specifically says safe for internal use. Even then, be careful, they may cause genital irritation. Massage oils are also unsafe for use with latex (unless the bottle specifically says otherwise).

Warming oils arent' appropriate for internal use, and make sure you read the label before using with latex products.

FYI: Most lubes "keep" for a couple of years without damage. Smell them before using, and avoid if they smell unpleasant of have an "icky" looking residue. Be safe!!

Ah, the legendary astroglide. I'm kind of amazed that I've never tried it. I'll have to get a sample. Thanks, Anonymous1!

And, thanks, Melicious, for the firefly link. I have a touchy ph, too, so I have to be very selective about which lubricants I use. That very detailed info will come in handy :)

KYJelly, been there, done that. It's a little too goopy for my liking.

HerHubby, lol! Though I'm talking about toys and lube, I have used saliva. It does give a nice fine slip in the beginning, but wears off very quickly...unfortunately, since it's the cheapest lube available :D

    Thanks guys!

If your a 30 second wonder you will love astroglide.

anything over 30 seconds, forget it as it wears out.

I've never had that issue. But then, I don't use it often. I suspect that my own "lubrication" replenishes whatever may have "worn out". :lol

Ooh, gallant and horny :D That's the best kind of guy!

I'm mostly interested in using it on my anal toy, so that could pose a problem. I'll have to try it and see. Sometimes these things work out differently for different people.
