I decided to give this a try. After all, I feel bad about disposing of tampons. I was pretty sceptical when I first saw it but bought one and took the plunge. I am a serious convert now. I am completely in love with this. It is so much more comfortable, easy to use and MUCH more hygenic. I feel so free after using this. And no, I have no ties to the company. LOL! I seriously recommend that you give it a try! http://www.lunette.fi/english_index.html
Thanks for the recommendation, Loveit. I'm going to look into trying it as well. Did you order yours online or were you able to find it at a local pharmacy?
I got mine from a sesuality store here in SA. It is called Whet. One of those lovely ones, run by a woman, very tasteful.
I found a British-made competitor to the Lunette, called the Mooncup. Hmm...it is slightly cheaper than the Lunette. I wonder which one is better... http://www.mooncup.co.uk/menstrual_cup_whatisit.html
I would not know. All I know is there are no leaks, no fuss and once you master it, easy as pie. I got it down with the second try. You can wear it all day, and there are minimal changes. It just feels so much more hygenic.
Well, you've pretty much sold me on it. I won't even use pads unless there's no other option, and I hate tampons, too.
I clicked on the site and had my first belly laugh of the day. It says, • Not tested on animals All I can picture are lab rats running around with tiny little cups in their pussies. :lol
LOL. Yeah, I've also been thinking of getting one.I hate using tampons. I'm sure having one of those would be much more hygienic and convenient.
well i still have trouble with tampons. even when i get them in right they give me the worste cramps. so i think i might have to pass on this. but it is a very good item.
Well, that is just the thing, this goes no where near your cervix, so no cramping at all. I used to find a little vaginal discomfort happened when I used tampons, with this, nothing at all. I don't know if it is coincidence or not, but I have not had a single cramp this period either.
Thank you for the link, loveit. It's a good concept, and your testimony has my interest piqued. I don't see a dealer listed in the US, though. Did you, Dreama? I hope they sell them in the US, I'd hate to make CNN by getting caught smuggling black market menstrual cups into the country.
I've heard of something called 'The Diva Cup'...I think they sell those in the US, and they are basically the same thing. Also, I think the 'Keeper' is too, and also 'The Moon Cup'.
