I tried to shove this dildo in my vagina. It's a cheap one I got from a sex shop. My vagina immediately starting burning and still is, even after rinsing it numerous times. I just found out most cheap dildos are toxic. Wish I'd known before.

The context totally killed the sexiness of this photo. :(

(Sorry you had a bad experience!)

Yeah that's why i did it in the first place, I was sexting. Horrible mistake. The dildo, not the sexting. I'm still in pain.

I didn't realize what could happen. I did just order silicone toys. Thanks for the warning.

    Feel better.

The jelly type dildos are bad. They need to be PVC and a few other things free (sorry brain not working). Our first dildos were jelly and I got sick from them. Wound up throwing them out. Try cyberskin, ur3 materials. They are safe and not very expensive. The last one I bought was $40. Well worth it. Can't really use it now because it's huge but the material is life like. Takes extra care to keep it though.

Try hydrocortisone cream, it might help and make an appointment with your gyno. You might be allergic to the material.

Who knew there was so much to choosing/using dildos?
How complicated this turned out to be

I guess there's no substitute for the real thing :D

Not really since it feels like my husband is ripping me open when we have sex. That thing would probably rip me.

I take it this sensation is not pleasing to you.
I have to wonder, why did you get the dildo?

Of course if Im too curious about
    private things I totally understand

Sounds like it may contain latex and you may have a latex allergy.

after doing research it appears this is not a rare occurrence and the culprit is 'phthalates' which are used in the manufacturing of cheap dildos. will start using it as a paperweight and get a new one with no phthalates.

Yeah thats an allergic reaction. Gotta spend good money for the good sex toys. Also look into metal ones

Upon encountering your thread title I thought "my vagina is on fire" was code for how horny you were.

Anyway, they're more expensive, but you can't go wrong with Lelo products. Hope the fire dies down soon!

Do they have a phthalates free section in the dildo department?

But seriously does anybody advertise or do you have to research everything?

They are advertised. You can also search specifically for them.
