PHOTOS - We have a thread for "All Nature" photos; however, I also have a thing for architecture. I have no understanding of the science of architecture - only the beauty of it.

Hopefully we can share personal photos of buildings, cathedrals, etc. or interior artistry that perks one's soul. :)

Below: The interior of Notre Dame is one massive art museum.
There isn't a space that isn't covered with carvings or paintings or etchings.
This carving is one of many throughout, that depicts different Bible stories.

Some pics I took in 2003 in San Fran. They are too huge, so he's only a few. Had to resize them from 1600x1200.

Wow, I love the pictures of New York, so neat! Mind if i steal them? I'd love to do a scrapbook page. Even though I didn't take the pictures, they're still really neat to look at! I have only been there once, when I was about 12 or 13.

Kind of hard to miss the big "Hotel and Casino" sign on the middle of the Empire States Building, or the Eifle tower next to the Brooklyn Bridge. I didn't think there was a roller coaster on the Statue of Librety either :lol

    Thanks for the compliments though.

Hey, there could be a hotel... and casino... in NY...and a rollercoaster in the middle of downtown.....uh...yeah, sure! Okay, maybe not. lol

It's early, I've only had 1/2 pot of coffee and I'm trying to live vicariously through all of you. 'Cause my biggest thrill so far has been moving to Charleston, SC. woo hoo. And I don't even have any cool pictures to share from here.

Here's one from NYC. I took this probably in 1999 or 2000.

didn't really pay much attention to the unique lighting that shines up from the Twin Towers, until after 9/11, when they erected two giant spot lights that shone (?sp) straight up, .... much like the lights you see in this picture.

London England - House of parliament. I can't even fathom this type of architecture being done in this century, much less, the fact that it was done in the early 1800's.

bicycles on campus after the first snow in 03...I just couldn't help but take a picture of the poor abandoned things, they looked like they'd been there for ages because there was not a single track around the bike rack

Nice picture of REI. I've passed by REI so many times on the freeway going in and out of Seattle, I've never been in there. :( Never knew there was a manmade waterfall either.

I know they have a huge rock climbing wall there. Maybe I should stop by next time I'm already there.
