Paul decided that I needed a little prezzie. I think that means he wanted a little prezzie but couldn't justify spending the money on two cars for himself. :lol

Without further ado, my W115 220P. She is a 1971 model with all original trim and fittings. Including a factory fitted sunroof!

Thanks all. She is in stunning condition and whoever had her before looked after her beautifully.

CL, why would she be a money pit? She is in concourse condition, we have had her checked by a Merc mechanic and the engine runs better then my SO's 2008 C Class. Just because she is a vintage does not mean she is a piece of crap.

If you're already used to paying the maintenance & repair bills on a Mercedes, then this probably won't be much (if any) worse. I don't remember exactly where you live (South Africa?) but here (Canada) cars like that cost 2-3X as much to maintain and repair as typical American domestics & Japanese imports.

    1. Because I like to bust your chops, silly.

    2. Because most folks I know with classic cars spend fortunes keeping them going and looking good.

    3. Because Mercedes mechanics are notoriously expensive, at least here in the US.

Well, Mercs her age cost considerably less to maintain then the new models. Mercs also run better and cheaper then European models like Renault and Citroen. Strangely enough, it is your Yank tanks that are hugely expensive to maintain here! :)
