I do not really like female football - I find it very boring to be honest.

Yeah but our women are better than our men. ( notwithstanding last week's excellent results in friendlies)

Yeah but that's not difficult with the US men's team.

Easy now. There's no reason for that. We've been building. Looks like Juergen is in it for the long haul. He's been developing a style of play which we always lacked. He's developing the the homegrown youth and doing a good job poaching young talent from outside the states. MLS will always be second tier but it's a better league than it used to be and it is here to stay. Keep in mind it wasn't that long ago that we couldn't support a pro league. Now we have two and people are talking about setting up a relagation system. Our biggest problem is that there are three other choices for our best athletes. (Four with hockey, if back heck happens to read this) and face it. They are going to be around. We will qualify every four years. Chances are good that whatever group we are in will be a group of death and sooner or later we are going to surprise the world. I. I believe. I believe that we will win. I believe that we wil win.

Congrats to Aussies, moving on from group of death. I'm glad it is at the expense of the swedes instead of the USA

2015 Women's World Cup Odds (To Win)
Team Odds for Round of 16 teams to win world Cup
    Germany 9-4
    USA 5-2
    France 7-1
    Brazil 9-1
    Japan 12-1
    Canada 14-1
    England 20-1
    Norway 25-1
    Sweden 40-1
    Australia 33-1
    China 66-1
    Cameroon 80-1
    Netherlands 110-1
    Switzerland 100-1
    Colombia 150-1
    Korea 150-1

I think Brazil is a good bet here. They are the team that is at the top of their game and have a pretty clear path to the final whereas Germany France and US will have to slog it out against each other to get there.
