You should have seen this one coming! As one who has been accused of being a Grammar Nazi, Literary Elitist, "English Teacher" (because apparently that's a pejorative term), and other such things I couldn't resist sharing this. See how far you can get yourself through and how many slip-ups and mistakes you make along the way...

I think with this one 10_3XL you might be, in the vernacular, "flogging a dead horse".

As perhaps the original Grammar Nazi, Literary Elitist & "English Teacher" and other such things I dare not say what my score was :D
It may be a slightly unfair test because I accept that there are varying pronunciations (not pronounciations) for lots of those words, dependant not only on the ' Basic English' spoken but also on the speakers regional accent; even with a 'Native English' speaker.
The poster of that item/test did not say if it was based on 'The Queen's English', 'Perceived English' or 'American English'.
There is at least one word in there that has two different but correct pronunciations dependant on its usage. Bury in the north of England will be pronounced as bury for a burial, which will also have the u sound, but for the town of Bury will be pronounced berry; in the south of England it will always be berry.
Stopping now before I get accused of being boring ....... rhythms with snoring :)

Ok so other than the last word of the sentence rhyming with the last word of the next sentence, just how do you know if you pronounced them correctly?

Oh the dastard dilemmas you have us face.
    Shall we ever keep pace?
It seems we are doomed I fear
    to shed evermore a tear
    As 10 _3XL and JonJ0
Chastise those of us that only speak so so
    Gentlemen leave us be
    Oh my can't you see?
    ........We dontgivashititis....

I hope neither of you gentlemen take offense at my little attempt at poetry. Please accept it as it was done with tongue firmly implanted in cheek. Of course I hope you are both wishing it was something else embedded in my cheek or perhaps elsewhere on (or in) my body.

Thank you H4H for allowing use off the word.

Now I must gird myself for their onslaught, for you see I forgot the -ly in dastardly.
