For some reason it always irritates me when someone says "two times" instead of "twice", don't know why but it always does. But I never say anything about it because I know how crazy and trivial that is. In fact...I've never admited that til now.

I've got an old friend on Facebook (dorky), but EVERYthing he writes he replaces the i's with y's. Like tyme, lyke, and you can imagine. Don't delete him because it's almost amusing the stupidity that he post

People who don't know the difference between your and you're. And I hear less and less people every day, even journalists and professionals, that can't figure out how to use me and I in a sentence. There are a few others too.

Yes, things like its/it's and who's/whose. I can't lie, I get lazy sometimes. I will use tho vs. though, thru vs through, etc. Not like the "ugh" makes any damned sense anyway.

I hate text speak with a passion. The worst ones are the abbreviations that are grammatical errors, no matter how you try to use it. BFF is a good example of this. People are just too damn lazy to take the time to spell things out.

I had one of my college students write IDK next to a problem on a math test. I pretended I didn't know what it meant but use that as an example now when I tell my classes what NOT to do.

But while I can't profess to be a student of the English language....
I can usually put my sentences together and spell well enough to get the message across.:D

That's a good thing, right? Hee Hee :)

I have an absolutely beautiful book, which is well written and with excellent illustrations, but the foreword is misspelled forward:eyes. I don't get worked up about things like this, but this typo has become alarmingly commonplace.

I can't stand it when people can't spell "scooch" properly. :)

Everything I write irritates me, including this sentence. I am now irritated for writing this and even more irritated for being irritated by my irritation. Now, that's irritating.

You know what really grinds my gears? When they write so messy you can't tell the difference between a 'k' and an 's'. also, I hate when people say 'omg' or 'lawl' in person.
