I've used several water based. For sex with my wife, I'm not crazy about them due to the sticky feeling as they're drying out. When I'm playing alone I like to use a large plug and Wet Platinum works well but not as good as plain crisco. Not sure if that's a good idea or not, though. I once seen a comment somewhere that crisco shouldn't be used due to "trapping" feces. Anyone else heard of this or is this just a myth?

NO, no vegitable or natural oils. Try silicone based lubes.

I dated a divorced lady for a while whose husband used Oleo on her ass when he penetrated it. Said it worked fine.

I would keep some baking soda handy in case of a grease fire caused by excessive friction

Good tip but that's what I like about it--no friction!
From what I've read, it's obviously not to be used with condoms. Health wise the only thing I've read is that it may harbor bacteria if not careful, as in don't leave it sitting around with the lid off. Also, treat it like cheese dip at a party--no double dipping!

If you aren't using a condom, baby oil works really good. It's slippery and stays slippery. But it will compromise the integrity a condom.
