I was trail riding with a friend of mine the other day and we got to talking about county fairs. I recounted to her the time I saw a man riding an American Bison (Buffalo) at my county fair and that the thing did tricks that were amazing. The grand finale was, the man got the buffalo running at full speed (they can run 40 mph) and jumped it width-wise over a convertible. (Cadillac?) My friend called bullshit on my tale which lead to the following one.... At a small dinner party hubby and I hosted that night, the topic of the jumping buffalo came up and once again my friend called bullshit on me. I told my son to fetch his laptop and Googled "man on a buffalo". That lead finding some of the most hysterical videos I've ever seen. Here's the linky....there are 4 parts, do yourself a favour and watch 'em all -->Guy On A Buffalo - Episode 1 (Bears, Indians & Such) - YouTube My friend, upon watching the videos still insisted that a man couldn't ride a buffalo over any kind of a jump, much less a car. I Googled again and found out they not only ran 40 mph they could jump 6 feet straight up. She still wanted proof so after she left, I got to Googling again and found a picture of a guy riding a buffalo as it jumped into the back of a pickup truck. I emailed her the pic and she said it was photoshopped. So...I found this video PPLD Local History on Vimeo She has FINALLY agreed that I was right and she was wrong. I sent her an email saying, "Mark this date on your calendar that Beth was wrong. Now, on all the other dates write Barb was right." God, I LOVE being right!
