My last cell phone decided to fly out of my hands at a high rate of speed directly towards the cement basement wall. Damn phones can be tricky!

Now I'm playing with a Sony Ericsson Z50a. I haven't used a flip phone in about 2 years, but it's kinda nice to tinker around with them again. Solid, soild build, too. I've always hated certain flip phones because the hinge always felt like I could snap it in half. But this one, really decent, real solid. Cool features, even though I'll only use about 5% of them. Would of been nice to be able to close the phone with speakerphone on, but oh well.

If anybody has this phone, what the hell is the black oval thing on the left side at the bottom, about a centimeter to the left of the charger port?

It probably brings you to the main screen or main options screen.Like a 'smart' key.

Nah, it's not a button. Take a look. It's at the bottom.

No, there's nothing on the other side.

I just realized this phone has infrared connectivity. That's what it must be.

Ah..Sony Ericsson, a good Swedish/Japanese brand. I use one myself, but the Krofster uses a Nokia (a Finnish brand).

A while back, I saw a TV news story about how "electronic" the Scandanavian nations have become. I cannot remember if the reporter was in Sweden or Finland (may have been Sweden) but I was in awe of how much technology is in use over there! Kind of left the US in the dust!

they also make these ... make the Viper and the new Corvette look like matchbox cars:

The only competition for it in the US stable is the yet-to-be-released Aero.

It's a Koenigsegg. The CCR version of that car might be the fastest production car in the world (there's debate about it).

Saab is no longer swedish, it's owned by GM here in the US. and I think Volvo is partly owned by Ford ... or someone.

HALF A MILLION?! I DON'T want one THAT bad!! HELL'S BELLS!!! Kind of reminds me of the joke: A mean looking cowboy comes into a saloon and yells out "BIG JOHN WANTS TO GET FUCKED!!!" The bartender looks at him wryly and says, "Down the hall, first door on your left!" So Big John, spurs jingling, walks down the hall, reaches the door, pounds on it with his fist and yells, "BIG JOHN WANTS TO GET FUCKED!!!" A sweet, feminine voice says, "OK! Slip $100 under the door!" Big John slips $100 under the door and stands there waiting. Nothing happens, so Big John pounds on the door again, yelling "BIG JOHN WANTS TO GET FUCKED!!!" A sweet, feminine voice replies, "WHAT?! AGAIN?!!" However, if ya gotta get "fucked", getting that car would be a sweet way to do it!!! ;> Wonder if Krof will buy one for Puss?!

You're paying for a car that can do 200+ miles an hour for long stretches.

I hope to be able to afford one.

When you graduate from your college, you probably will! By the way, on 09/11/01, an alumnus of your college and two other of my former fellow state agency employees were entering the World Trade Center for an appointment when the first jet hit one of the towers. They ran outside, looked up, saw what happened and RAN several blocks before they stopped at a restaurant, which had a TV, to try to find out what happened! They said that they ran faster than they ever imagined that they could! I'll bet that they wished that they had one of those cars at that time!

You can have your swedish car. I think I'll stick to my Corvettes...

If I'm reading this correctly, this costs about 100k total. However, I thought I remember reading a price tag of 120k. Regardless, look at the performance for the price... Let's just round up for the fun of it and assume it's 150k. 150k... vs 540k... no thx! :lol

To my knowledge this was John Lingenfelter's last "big" project he worked on before he passed away... though, the Lingenfelter corporation is still in existence and pushes forward today.
