My Brother, Husband and I are pissed that it didn't hit us here in Florida. We actually enjoy hurricanes and hurricane parties. Florida is pretty much built for these things.

Good luck everyone up North of us. Please stay safe.

Hurricanes are fun, IMO. And a Cat 1 is nothing but a mildly obnoxious sneeze.

Agreed. It's just drizzling here in dc. Hopefully it'll get a little more exciting as the day goes on.

That's lunacy! I'm completely happy it pretty much passed us. Mitt- you should remember 2004/2005 hurricanes... Those were cool for school and work--- but not so cool for houses, the homeless, and other things.

That being said- I don't like hurricanes because when I was younger the second a hurricane would hit Fl, my family and I would have to go to a shelter due to my brothers having special needs. Being in a school auditorium with a bunch of people who disregard rules and have sex any where they can in hot muggy air painted a terrible picture.

BUT! With the small amount of rain we did get, on Thursday night, I went to an outside club and enjoyed dancing the rain.

Looks like the hurricane just hit me, getting a ton of rain by me, glad I didn't have to drive through this. The sound of the rain on the ground outside, the windows, and the metal air conditioner sounds like an orchestra :)

Hey hi all, been away from home for a while, still more of it.
Anyway, in eastern Canada it's windy but nothing like down south.
Well I hope those of you nearby will be safe and sound.

Yay it's getting pretty Juicy outside finally. It's raining harder with harder winds, and we still have power.

Why the fuck are people out driving? Who cares if it's only a cat 1, stupid people are dying from falling trees. I think the count is 11 almost all while driving, and 1 surfer in FL. I just dont get it. The news was showing people walking their dogs in the park like it's a fucking spring shower. Stupid people just piss me the fuck off!

And, my bro works at a restaurant that was a OPEN for Christ sakes. Who the eff is open? They are a bunch of cheap asses that are scared to lose a dollar if they close for 1 night. And they only had very few people in and that was before 7, and he had to stay till closing at 10. My bro was pissed but had the right to be. During the 36 inches of snow last winter.. Yep... They were open, for nothing. It's fucked up if you ask me. Meanwhile, the managers were all at home enjoying a hot cup of hot chocolate in front of the fireplace.

Me and the dog just took a little walk to the curve a block from me to pee, I'm so proud of him. While he was going, I was leaning into the wind. Man, the most surprising part was when we started back. Going from not moving to trying to move you realize that you got really cold.
